My mom just called me to tell me the restaurant she works at is closing. It's in Daly City, CA.
Really feel for all the people who need the hours and tips to make ends meet in the fukkin bay area.

It's still not a bad idea because what we're seeing is a soft quarantine right now, logistics wise I don't believe they could enforce one nationwide but by closing all schools, restaurants, casinos, hotels, theaters, etc.. they are limiting the options of people to be in one place.
If you wanna go sit out on your back porch or go for a run, fine.. do it. If you want to go be around a ton of people, options are scarce lol.
Talked to my sis earlier today she works as a P.A. in a clinic. She says they've switched to "telecare" as much as possible, having people do their doctor visits over skype because they don't want sick/elderly folk gathering in crowded waiting rooms.
She also said they're low on EVERYTHING so far as equipment goes. Medical professionals are supposed to use 1 mask per patient but now they saying keep using the same mask for as many patients as possible until that shyt gets moist (which means no longer effective) cause there ain't enough masks to go around.
She said medical professionals are really fukking pissed off at Trump for having downplayed it for so long and says that a lot of people who were listening to him still ain't taking it seriously enough. I joked about that being a good thing in the long run and getting something good out of segregation, but she doesn't think that effect will be enough to matter, the dumb uncareful people are gonna fukk it up for everyone.

I'll be the latest with a "friend of a friend" story. Was told someone who works in the GOA (Government Accountability Office) was tasked to have their team try to quantify the economic fallout of three million plus deaths in the country. That three million figure came from their internal analysis.

Spanish military are patrolling the streets like crazy now. I'm bound to run into some fukkery during my 5 minute walk to get to the metro station to travel to the airport.
Had a friend from high school contract it yesterday. She said the scariest part about this is she wasn’t told to contact all the people she’s been in contact with to tell them to get checked or think about self quarantining. She did all on her own but it seems like a big oversight. We do this for std’s but not corona lol.
Anyways. She says it’s the worst sore throat and cough she’s ever had and she says breathing is like she’s at the end of a neck and neck race but she’s never out of breathe.

València. I originally was to stay here for two weeks but said 'fukk it' when I realized the whole country was heading towards Italy status. My country (The Netherlands) isn't doing much better but I'd rather be there during a state of emergency quarantine than here.
