has there been any in depth reporting as to why Italy is getting it so bad? was the disease incubated there for longer than they knew?

Went unnoticed (supposedly) and of course part of it is the old age of their population

I'm sure someone could draft up a post that can get pinned. How Covid-19 is different and similar to the flu; the potential impact this could have and why we should worry - NOT PANIC; what to do to avoid catching/spreading the virus, and links to general resources.

Way easier than killing people my guy.

Really good suggestion. Coli has that notification pop up whenever they want members to see a message, that should be used for a covid 19 FAQ

@Frump my epidemiologist friend said walking/running outside if you aren’t in a populated area is fairly safe. There’s some mounting evidence that this is airborne but all in all he said it’s not too risky. Take it for what it’s worth. I think you’re okay.

By airborne I think they mean that if someone sneezes or coughs then it can travel through the air. I don’t think the virus can fly

I think the common sense rationale is it's totally fine to go outside for a run, walk, bike ride etc but keep your distance, avoid big crowds and don't touch strangers

Some people are saying the virus can stay in the air for a few hours so some are saying don’t go outside at all

I don't think it's sitting in place in the air though. Indoors maybe, but everyone's kinda at this point

My girl's hospital has changed their policy on this like 3 times within the past 24 hours. I can't imagine the collective confusion everyone has right now
