The biggest blow to that info, is the fact that you're likely going to get covid anyway. :manny:

A recent John Hopkins study said lockdowns didn't do shyt.
https://www.wxyz.com/news/national/...ds-lockdowns-only-reduced-covid-deaths-by-0-2

Religious use of masking don't do shyt, Japan is having all time highs in cases rn. As far as stateside, states w/ mask mandates(NY, CA) had all time highs in cases recently.

Regarding lockdowns:
Lockdowns reduce transmission.
Mortality is a percentage of deceased compared to cases.
So the percentage should remain roughly the same, but the absolute numbers are lower due to lower transmission.

Japan managed Delta wave quickly with good ventilation and CO2 monitoring and vaccines, and for Delta this was enough despite the prevalence of surgical masks, for which they seem to have a long tradition:

Now they just seem to need mask upgrade for Omicron from chirurgical into their DS2 or RS2 masks, and they will be much better placed on Swiss cheese strategy than most of other countries...

(Just scrap hand hygiene and face touching for covid, these seem less important since the surface contagion appears to be very rare, although these are very important for other diseases).

Didn't delta breakthrough also?
Nowhere near the same rate as omnicron.

The mRNA vaccine was a shield from delta but a lot of people were not vaccinated at the time.

Vaccinated and boosted people were getting omnicron. All the vaccine did was keep you from hospitalization.

Even a variant specific shot won't work cause white countries bullshytting about distribution/IP.

And this past Wednesday, almost 4,000 people died from COVID

But we have to "move on" for the sake of "the economy"
We started a war that cost trillions of dollars to avenge the lives of less people that died yesterday but people wanna move on:mjlol:

Also @Captain Crunch is a confirmed psychopath. No point in communicating with that person

:mjlol: all credible studies point to masks working. Japans surge is due to US military not testing soldiers when coming back to japan while visiting america for holiday.

And I don't know how to feel about all this anti-vax sentiment anymore.

I won't be shocked if polio, smallpox and MMR start making a comeback within the next 5 years.

The bolded reminded me we had a preview of what anti-vax sentiments could lead to with the measles outbreaks a few years back. The last thing we need is the current anti-vax sentiments to become more generalized. I should call out though smallpox was eradicated and no longer naturally occurs (how the world pulled it off is a fascinating story), so barring some lab leak that isn't immediately contained or some kind of intentional bio-weapon attack, it can't make a comeback.

It needs to stay in the dustbin of history because it's a horrifying disease and to your point, I don't think the world in 2022 could effectively grapple with it (fair warning, a lot of the images are disturbing):merchant:

I forgot: polio, mononucleosis, HIV and a whole bunch of viruses are also similar to flu in the acute phase of the infection...

Western societies are playing with fire in the name of profit...
Or more precisely, short-term profit, because long term Chinese seem to be having less supply chain problems...

the telltale difference of when your countries leaders are made up of lawyers and business men versus doctors , scientists and engineers.
