At this point I would just say fukk anyone who goes against Science. Biden won't force people to get it, nor enforce like a sticker/wristband saying you get it, he will just say, "Please, don't be an idiot. Get the vaccine."

COVID isn't going away, it's here to stay. So at some point they are going to catch it.

The best you can do is educate the people who just want to know of the side effects, just so they know what could happen. For me, I will get that vaccine next Spring no doubt.

The media and gov't officials are going to have to be transparent and consistently inform the public when it comes to this, most Americans are clueless to begin with, and a lot of people (myself included) are at least cautious with the fastest vaccine in history.

Interesting change of pace in this Guardian piece. A lot more nuance than the average anti-shutdown crowd in the US. Especially since it starts out talking to a lot of black men about how they're feeling. From the looks of things, the entire series is just about talking to men and getting their perspective on things which is an interesting take:



I'm still not sure if I'm for the idea of opening up these areas, but definitely a perspective that I overlooked.

I mean...I agree with Bernie here. This deal is terrible and it highlights how terrible Pelosi played her hand. Democrats could have gotten a deal before the election, including a 1200 check. Trump wanted a big deal and given the fact that McConnell can't even admit Biden won the election, I'm going to assume he would have put the Trump deal on the senate floor if Trump had told him to back in October. IF a deal had been agreed to by Pelosi.

Dems could have gotten a two for one. You get a bill under Trump, which may include some things you don't like...then you get another deal with Biden as president in March or April. Of course my thinking at the time was that dems would win the senate. They still can but I will admit, this fukks the plan. But blame Pelosi, not Bernie.
