Not to scare you breh, but it's really a question of when it comes and not if to comes.
It's in 2 adjacent counties to my county. We're out of test kits here for now, but it makes no sense that it wouldn't be in my county. I posted earlier that my mom is a public health nurse, and this isn't evidence for sure, but for what it's worth she said this week and last week she's had more families and kids with fever and cough. She said during the rest of the flu season she saw much less people coughing. A lot of the families she sees are Chinese also.
I said it before but I'm really worried about mom dukes. She's less than 1 year away from retirement with a full pension at 65, and she's thinking about quitting early anyways. She's at super high risk and if she gets it she's always had bad respiratory infections. She made me go over her will the other day with her and she gave me the keys to her safety deposit box and how to contact her financial advisor directly in case the worst happens. She said if it's her time then she's lived a good life, raised a good son into a good man (yours truly), and that she's prepared to go and leave room for "the young to live their lives" because she said "she's had her time and it was good."
I can't believe she's so strong and at peace if the worst happens. She ain't young in years, but she looks young and has a youthful spirit, and I think she'll be okay; but I'm not ready to lose my mom yet brehs.

Jesus. I thought it was just my state. My mom's a public health nurse and said we are OUT of testing kits here and she said she hasn't been told when they'll be getting more kits. There are confirmed cases in most of the counties adjacent to hers and she said she's been seeing families with fever and cough over the past week, and she wasn't seeing many people with coughing symptoms before March.
But they have no testing kits so they are just telling the sick people to self-quarantine. Trump could have used this as a solid path to re-election (obviously I want that POS out of office) but he's fumbled the ball so bad on this. This country could really use some solid leadership right now.
There is some shady ass dealings here. Pence the other night mentioned some private corporation that is working on a test and rolling it out that day. Trump has said he prefers to wait for US private industry to develope the test instead of using the WHO test like other countries who are outpacing us in testing by wide margins with less people.
They are busy thinking how can we make some money from this instead of performing the basic actions of government which is provide social goods and general protection in exchange for our tax dollars and votes.
Trump is a scumbag. I will say that the people surrounding him at the very least are acting more like adults even if the administration is failing as a whole.
This is right on brand for Trump. He’s been referring to people as “consumers” and focusing on how much buying power we all supposedly have in this economy. His proposed solutions include tax breaks and bailouts, not sick time or job security. He doesn’t actually care if people get sick and die.
