If we know anything about Vince is that he's persistent, he did the same thing with Cena for damn near 10 years. I'll be genuinely surprised if they aren't still completely behind Roman for the foreseeable future.
Cena's stay on top isn't really like Reigns' other than they get/got "mixed" reactions though.

Once Vince got a whiff of his merch sales and realized how good at PR he could be, Cena was the definitive company ace and that was that, whether the live crowds bought into what he was selling or not. There was no cold feet or aborted coronations or whatever the hell tonight was.

Only thing I'll give you is that they have no idea what they're doing with Roman but I still think they have him in long term plans

They're pretty clearly done with Roman as The Guy after tonight, so nah.
This was Vince's version of calling it.

He'll still be a main eventer/around the upper card, but you don't book this mess tonight and not have it be some degree of waving a white flag, even in current day WWE.

:usure:That's wishful thinkin they're definitely not done wit Roman as The Guy he's been given huge pushes and has already been crowned not only has he won the WWE title before but he went over Undertaker at Mania for Christ's sake, they stay protectin him the fact that it took like 10 F-5's to beat him shows he gonna go over for the Universal belt eventually you talkin like he got squashed or somethin.

:ufdup:Reigns is just like Cena not only do they get mixed reactions but Reigns sells more merch than anyone other than Cena himself so their reasons for pushin him are identical to why they pushed Cena, and even tho he not as good on the mic as Cena he's improved to where his mic skills are solid.

:whoa:They never got cold feet wit him either they draggin this current storyline out as the underdog chasin the title (likely keepin the belt on Lesnar cause he just resigned wit them) but they let it be known Roman is the top dog which is why smarks are throwin constant hissy fits hopin it makes Vince prolong the inevitable.:mjlol:

Braun took Roman spot. He will get the belt next.
:comeon:Nah Braun is their 1B to Roman's 1A every era since the 90s they've had 2 top guys that are rivals the main face and the secondary face who's usually a heel when the other is a face, HBK/Bret Austin/Rock Cena/Orton and now Roman/Braun in fact Braun officially becomin a face teamin wit a kid from Make A Wish to win the tag titles from heels is probably part of the reason why they had Roman lose tonight.:jbhmm:

:patrice:They might be about to turn Reigns heel he was already rantin against the company/Vince for lettin Lesnar get away wit bein there part time and not showin up when he's supposed to sayin that Lesnar is Vince's boy which he ended up gettin suspended for, he feels Lesnar don't respect the company or the fans yet the fans cheer Lesnar and boo him so this loss is gonna be the straw that broke the camel's back he prolly gonna snap on Lesnar tomorrow night on Raw sayin that since he's always there every week he deserves the title over Brock.

If Roman attacks Brock then Brock would want to fight him again at the next PPV where heel Roman would win and end up facin Braun at Summerslam, that's the only way the bookin makes sense otherwise there would be no reason to have him lose just to win on Raw or at the next PPV even tho they've done that shyt before.:beli: And if they really want to turn him they already had the loser of the other Heavyweight title match turn heel so they prolly didn't want to do the same thing in the Universal match too at the same Mania.
