The powers that be literally murdered a significant chunk of our leadership, and bought out a lot of the rest. That's difficult to recover from - so as much as blacks seem like a self-check in America, I do understand why things are as they are.
Because Jim Crow came into being. Negro the Magnificent is somewhat right. Immediately after slavery, black people were making a come up. White people didn't want black domination, especially in the South and started overtly terrorizing black people. You even had politicians running on the platform of "preventing negro rule". As a result, Jim Crow was birthed. The migration to the North was more of a reaction to Jim Crow.I'm confused about this, why did it have to be stopped

This is true. The older generations had their chance.. and had the best chance during the 60's.... they ended up being used as cac puppets to fight each other (as we see here)
You have limited truth in your other post ..... but then you fall into the same traps and confusion. You mention Asians, and Jews. First off, Asians usually sent their best... have you been to 'Asia', lol. There are many different groups and most groups contain millions of ignorant, lost, unproductive, and poor people. The business minded and those with motivation have came here (for the most part). You are basing ur idea on a section of a group that doesn't even rep the whole group. Our entire group of AA is here so that's not fair. jews, that's a different story. .. they control the dialogue images and stigmas... and weren't oppressed from 1500 until the 1970's so their situation is different than ours.
But I get your point.. they have cultures that define them... you're right about that, but Wrong about 'We need other Americans'. They need us... we don't need these devils. We simply need to use them. Collaboration, doing business with, or even tolerating others... is only a means to an end. thats it.

Im gonna have to call you out on your ignorance here. After the civil war during reconstruction('65-'77) the military from the north occupied the south and the whites who fought were disenfranchised, this allowed blacks to be elected to congress. In a later election a deal was made waking Hayes president and removing the troops. When the troops left the same rich whites from before the war took everything over again. The white people basically took out their hatred of the north on blacks for the next 190 years and many continue to.
What you correctly describe in your post happeneded the second those northern troops left.
The people in this thread are only half right in their points.
They even are rewriting what happened during reconstruction....
1) laround 2k blacks participated in politics... but just like today weren't even close to being truly represented per population numbers.
2) We were republicans because the dems wanted us hanging from trees... the only reason we were able to form good voting blocks was because in the South we made up basically of of the GOP.(obviously).
3) The northern liberal (for the time ) CAC used us.. abused us... and used us.... The same way the progressives did us in the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's 2000's, 2040's. infinity. Not to take away from our organization n shyt in 1860's 70's - but come on now... blacks were still getting shytted on Nationwide...
4) The vast majority of these Black politicians had mental influence and guidance over the Masses of blacks that would last us until today...................................................... Nearly all of them were either Christian Church Leaders or people who fought in the Union Army --- I will let you figure that one out, lol... and the mental affects and reasons why this was incredibly awesome for CAC in the long run.
5) American Elite couldn't have given a fukk either way - because when the southern whites started killing leaders and forming kkks n shyt.... white political leaders from both parties protected these people.
6) The discrimination in business was in markets... and from whites killing off our animals. Working on farms was still like slavery and the economic oppression from reconstruction wasn't integrated and lasted until now.
W E Dubois wrote a book called Black reconstruction because of what people have in their fantasy heads. Reconstruction wasn't a great example of assimilation.. it didn't end because the elites needed it to... it simply evolved into Jim Crow. Remember a racist signed the Emacipation Proclamation.. and racist wrote the Constitution.. and racist wrote all the modern amendments... even the ones that seem 'good'

Black people were severely and brutally oppressed by their white neighbors during that time. There was no "healthy assimilation" at all. Those Congressional seats were purely symbolic, as they had no real voting power.
And those northerners weren't exactly down for the black cause. They were just using us as instruments to troll southern losers, rubbing it in. They didn't care about us.
It's no surprise that Jim Crow Laws were so easily implemented once they judged that southern cacs had been humiliated enough. That was proof that all that bullshyt was just window-dressing.

Im not saying youre wrong, but from 1865 to 1877 black people were in charge in the south. The whites were disenfranchised and occupied by the north. Then carpetbaggers and scallywags came into the picture.
Reconstruction ended when Hayes was made president in a deal in '76, and the first jim crow was in '76. Black people were good until the troops left
