Why are you guys upset the left has standards? All politics is purity politics. How can we talk about integrity and all that and not have any standards when it comes to our nominee? Just because the GOP will nominate dog poop on a stick does not mean dems have to.
Because I don't think, by in large, it's a good faith critique to find which candidate upholds liberal standards. Rather, it seems like an attempt to bash someone, and distort their words without any context, to persuade liberals not to vote all together.
And I want to win, dammit. And not for the sake of winning just to win. Republican policies do demonstrable harm to every day people that are much more egregious than a bill to stop gang violence.
Exactly, they think going to Rs low levels is what will win. No it's the opposite, we gotta get the boldest and least compromised candidate possible who actually stands for something other than the status quo and being 'practical'.
The winner in any given state is (usually) the one who gets the most votes. I'm not saying we have to do like Republicans and literally vote for a confessed pedophile ... but we don't need to stay home because the candidate used the phrase "super predator". Like, the scales of what each side tolerates are completely night and day.
