Ancestry.com hasnt been in control of their archives since August 2014, and they still arent in full control. They are overseen, funded, and subcontracted by NARA and reportedly other agencies. There has been many records lost, SSNs exposed, and data thrown out in trash bins, in the woods, and stuffed into the floorboards by careless employees which arguably compromises the credibility of its purported results. They proivide their records to law enforcement extrajudicially and refuse to comment on violations of their privacy policy agreements.

it makes sense. i watch way too many documentaries about crime for me to feel comfortable enough to be giving my dna out to anyone willynilly. the government has power to do whatever they want. if an institution has something about u they want, there is at least one loophole they can exploit to get that institution to surrender it.

and lets not forget the likelihood of someone fuccking up ur dna samples and mislabeling it and next thing u know ur being accused of somesh1t u know nothing of. yall be careful out there. life can fucck anyone, but dont make urself a easy target.
