Doing some back of the envelope math on gross revenue for this tournament.

Avg game attendance: 45K
Matches played: 32
Total attendance: 1.44M
Assumed avg ticket price: $100
Gross ticket revenue: $144M

:wow: You know CONMEBOL saw them figures and were like we’ll see y’all at Copa America 2032 in Miami

Watching a lot of football this summer, it’s just so wild to me that Argentina is as white (players, fanbase) as countries like Croatia and shyt. Lautaro Martinez and Di Maria are their darkest players, lmao
They killed all the blacks lol. It's why you'd never see me wearing anything with Argentina on it. I will watch Messi just to witness generational.talent but that is where it stops.

They have to do something about the attendance for games that don't have the host or Argentina/Brazil playing.

Venezuela - Ecuador looked ugly with the empty stands. Just compare that with what we're seeing in Germany

They need to right size some of these games. No need putting a 33K attendance game in a 60K stadium.

Germany has a lot of football built stadium that is already right sized for games. The actual attendance is actually below the Copa

We need a handful of 45K soccer specific stadiums in this country. Have those cities host these types of tournaments. The soccer specific stadiums around this country for MLS are all too small so we get stuck using NFL stadiums which are too small unless Mexico, Argentina, Brazil are playing.

What we're seeing in Germany is a smaller average on cheaper tickets. Again, the organizers aren't worried. Copa America is in the States to make money. 29k in a 70k stadium beats 20k in a 20k stadium.

Nobody's building a 45k stadium just maybe for some tournaments every few years. They already exists in the range of low level P4/high level G5 college football stadiums.

All those NFL stadiums were also built with the intention of hosting soccer matches as well, which is why they're always used on European pre-season tours and even knockout rounds of the Gold Cup.

And again, they are only having this here for money. If those 45k stadiums existed like you imagined, and the tournament were to be held in those, the prices would be somewhere between double and triple what they are now.
Money.

Everything doesn't need to look the Euros. Copa America never looked like the Euros.
