Y'all really about to have a World Cup with field dimensions like these? it's as small as possible and they've had to reduce the real futbol fields to make them match the football ones :dead:

One thing about designs in America since the turn of the milennium, is no wasted space whether it is stadiums, hospitals, airplanes.

There have to be seats as close to the field and few things are built beyond the minimum unless they have to be (like car safety). They know FIFA has a "range" and the big football stadiums that want to host these types of things were never going to be bigger than the minimum. :pachaha:

The overreaction
@THEREALBRAND what's the plan for 2026 breh? :picard: this squad + coaching staff is looking as sorry as the abomination Dunga put out there before Tite showed up and put things in place.

Carletto was supposed to give y'all a World Cup but y'all fukked around and made him change his mimd:damn:

Are there any players that can make that sorry ass midfield work?

Chasing Ancelotti for so long put us in a bad position. Instead of being able to find a long term solution we had to find a last minute replacement that wasn’t prepared for the job. I don’t have anything against Dorival, but he’s just not the right guy in 2024. The team under him doesn’t play with any confidence or fortitude.

Don’t get me wrong this is a team that has a lot of flaws, but a good manager should be able to game plan around those weaknesses to at least beat Costa Rica with the players we had available. The writing was on the wall when we looked lackluster in friendlies against Mexico and the US, but absolutely nothing was changed going into that Costa Rica game. This is just a poorly constructed team with poor leadership. At this point you have to acknowledge that these are the best players we have available, and that Pelé and Zico aren’t walking through that door to save us. As much as I criticized Tite, at the end, he did a great job of modernizing Brazilian football and bringing the best out of the players that he had. We’ve taken a major step back under Dorival.

Tite kinda had the Deschamps/Southgate approach but I thought y'all had games were you looked strong and made your players play as good as possible (specially a guys like Paqueta and Richarlison).

And he was unlucky as fukk, both WC eliminations came in games were y'all missed a bunch of chances and should've advanced.

I get that, but is it that dire in the midfield? gawd damn :picard:

Also, you can't tell me mediocre ass Rodrygo should be playing as a starter in a national squad. At least throw Pedro in there and see if he can do something at this level, that's what the Copa is all about, try shyt out so you don't have to come up with stuff on the fly during WCQ (you already know what Rodrygo brings, try new shyt out). Endrick is too damn young and he'll probably need those two years with Carletto to truly find out if he has elite talent or not, I don't think y'all know if he can be a starter in the WC until late 2025 at the earliest.

Heard he really got into making Tiktok videos and seems like he has other outlets with coffee and social media that he's more interested in.

James is a very inconsistent player that tends to up his level when he plays for his national squad, he's a poor man's Javier Ortega in that sense (Orteguita's issue was only playing comfortably in Argentinian soil though). At club level those ups and downs are way more glaring and piss people off. At the national squad level he gets by because there's fewer games so when he does have a good one, he doesn't have the baggage of looking expendable for 80% of the games.

Looks like Berhalter is gonna be out as head coach

It's also said that the US Federation had a spat over the Copa campaign
As the Federation should. The U.S. had the lowest foul to card ratio and the goal that Uruguay scored was clearly offsides. Also the head ref was involved in a match fixing scandal with Boca Juniors. If we are gonna give them easy money to host on our soil we should expect better quality.
