I didn't get what Jay was referencing until I found out this movie had a character named Cochise. For years, I thought he was talking about some really old Native American leader.

I don't know if it's cause I was born in the 90s but this movie just wasn't that great to me. Watched it for the first time I believe a couple years ago when I was looking for old black films to watch.

Seemed like every other ol' coming of age movie where teenagers do stupid shyt and face the consequences as a result. From what I could remember I didn't really resonate with any particular character, nothing was all that great that I remember fondly of. I remember them riding around in that stolen car, someone dying, tryna get play from some girls etc.
