What does that have to do with anything? The claim was that Bron had gutted the team and the Lakers had no future, when in reality they have 10 picks over the next 7 years and no money tied up in bad long-term contracts. No one was claiming, "Bron wanted to gut the team's future but didn't."

It’s low volume tho …I think I’d rather have the constant wing defender next to Bron and AD over that

It's low volume but players will actually have to think about guarding him, while Vanderbilt's man is going to play completely off of him.

I'm not saying Bamba is an objectively better option, I just think it will be situations. If Bamba and AD can fit together defensively well then I could easily see a scenario where Bamba becomes the starter.

It’s a coin flip for me …you can go with either guy.. I just wouldn’t do a DLO + Beasley or Dennis paring …with Reaves he’s is a bit too turnover prone at times especially when getting into the lane …he runs into traffic and traps himself sometimes …at times he’ll make a miraculous play out of that and get to the rim but it’s a bit reckless .. I like Walkers athleticism and quickness..being a back door cutter and and attacking the rim as a lob threat as well as on the break.. I think a vet team like this needs one of these electric guys to give them energy for time to time ..and he’s shot the ball a tinge better ..but like I said either option is good imo

One man's recklessness is another man's energy.....

Lakers' offensive rating is 6 worse than their opponent with Walker on and 2 better than the opponent with Walker off.
Lakers' offensive rating is 2 better than their opponent with Reaves on and 4 worse with Reaves off.

And in case you just think that's from playing with Bron....4 of the 5 most-used lineups that have both Bron and Walker in them have been net negatives this year.

Bamba also stretches the floor for you, which Vanderbilt doesn't do. I think their use will be situational if Ham is smart about it.

Why would you start Walker over Reaves? Reaves gives you nearly all of Walker's 3pt shooting while also moving the ball better, and he plays harder on defense. I would start Reaves unless he goes into some huge shooting slump, and make Walker/Beasey fight for the backup role.

They're gonna start Beasley at the 2 because he has a $16 million team option for next season. His 3pt% has been down the past two seasons but he was hovering around 40% on the same volume the previous three. They gotta see if playing with LeBron/AD gets that number up in the 40% range again.

The more I think about it, I would begin with Schroder, Beasley, LeBron, AD and Bamba as the starting lineup with Russell, Reaves, Rui, Gabriel, Vanderbilt and Walker off the bench. Russell doesn't do much off ball and Schroder is obviously a much better defender.

Reaves can fit in with anybody. He's a better player than Beasley right now but it doesn't matter when he gets on the floor; he'll produce regardless. If Beasley flames out, they can easily insert Reaves into the starting lineup.
