I like packaging him for Poeltl in theory.

If they could resign Poeltl for under 15 million you would have a lot of flexibility.

You could bring back a lot of guys mainly Reaves, Thomas Bryant, Wenyen, and maybe even Russ.

Poeltl would really stabilize the defense.

Plus he sets great screens and is a good rebounder.
I do like Poeltl also in theory

I'm just really curious what a Bryant/AD front court would look like. I really had no idea that Thomas was such a beast on the boards, and his offensive game around the rim is really good. He's able to knock down that midrange pull up on a regular basis and can hit outside corner 3's...... the problem is his defense, but that's what you have AD for.

I really want to see Darvin play both of them together and see what that looks like when AD comes back

Thomas Bryant is so terrible on defense that it's not viable in my opinion.

Thomas Bryant is a bench center with an excellent offensive game that benefits from Russ and Bron's passing.

Man yall wrong

Lonnie is a fit for this team, you gotta use him right.

His play detoriated when Dennis and Bev came into the team. That left him with Dennis, Bev, Russ, Bron and AD who touch the ball a lot. Remember how good Lonnie was when he was trusted to run pnr with Bron or AD? Then Dennis and Bev came in. Defensively, he's decent. He just can't be used to guard the opps best wing or guard. The +- numbers with Lonnie are not an accurate reflection of his game and capabilities.

However you want to do it, Bev is the one that doesn't fit. You need a sized 3&D wing for him which would make the best lineup Dennis, Lonnie, Wing, Bron and AD. Then Russ, Reaves, Brown, Wenyen and Bryant the backups.

If Nunn plays well these next 3-4 games Lonnie is expendable in my opinion.

You are correct Lonnie was good early this year but it was because he was getting open looks at the basket because of the AD pick and roll.

He is not an efficient 3 level scorer .

Top 4
it really depends on what's out there. I don't know who's available. if raptors keep free falling, i'd try and see if siakam is available but then again I don't think we have the assets. maybe OG.

Fvv take him

If the Lakers could somehow acquire the necessary pieces to compete for a championship without giving up Westbrook, I wouldn't be against keeping him (I think Russ has value during the regular season, but not the playoffs).......But understand a couple of things:

1. Russ will be unplayable during crunch time in the playoffs. Teams are going to leave Russ Wide open. This is going to hurt the spacing for Lebron/AD...Just look at the game vs Boston as an example. They left Russ wide open and he wouldn't stop shooting...Since 2016 Russ has shot the ball terribly during the playoffs.

2. Russ is going to catch an attitude when he is benched... Is that the type of drama LA wants during the playoffs?..... Go back and watch the games where Ham has sat Russ...Russ pouts and isn't engaged....Not a good look.

3. Russ is not re-signing with the Lakers....He wants to start and play during crunch time...And yes, I believe there are a number of teams that will offer Russ a contract (Charlotte, Washington. Houston, New York).....This means LA will lose Russ without getting anything in exchange for his 47m expiring contract
