Well idk man cuz AD at the 5 seems he always getting hurt like crazy
Like others said AD would cover for him
We gotta do something:damn:

When the Wizards were trash I wanted the Lakers to look into trading for Daniel Gafford.

He's a playable better version of Damian Jones.

Heck I think Mason Plumlee would be good for this team.

Damn this team needs a knock down 3 point shooter bad.
Dominant AD, Dominant Bron and a 3 point shooter. That was the formula. Unfortunately, those 3 things havent been on the floor consistently for a good while :mjcry:
Good W, Dennis tryna get his contract back.
Breh trying to keep his German pawg

There is zero need for Beverly. Dennis fills his role well. Beverly's salary is needed for any decent player

Pat Bev is still the best perimeter defender and he brings toughness to the team plus you have his bird rights.

You must likely will not be able to keep Lonnie.

If you want a good player, you have to use his salary. There is no other choice. Lonnie makes half of Beverly. Any 15+ million dollar player will require Beverly's salary unless they are trading Westbrook.

He the Jared Dudley of this team.
I thought Dudley was completely useless so yes I agree:sas2:

You really want AD navigating screens on the perimeter all game long?
Idk what I want him to do, I would just like to see them play together for a bit. I am sure Ham can figure it out. TB has been very good on the offensive end, unfortunately his defense is an issue, if AD can cover it a bit, its a huge win and AD can go back to the 4 role he is comfortable with.

Ham has certain pieces that he isn't utilizing.

Christie gets almost no burn, even though he's clearly our best shooter. We released Ryan for whatever reason. Brown just got hurt.

We have/had shooters, believe it or not (and I know I sound crazy, but it's true).

Gimmie AD, Bron, Bryant, Schroder and Christie in the starting lineup over Beverly. That team can compete in the playoffs, but I do think the Lakers could use another 3/D guy, off the bench.

saw somewhere where lonnie had the worst +- on the team with -100 something.

he goes down and we start winning

:jbhmm:

JTA is inept offensively but that might be a good thing. he knows his role is on defense and filling the lane. Lonnie often looks like a dude that's trying to get his game off.

Bev is more useful than Westbrook, imo. Bev atleast plays a role that can function on any team, this game just reinforces to me that they could be a legitimate playoff team if they traded Russ. When Bron and AD are back there isn't gonna be enough usage to go around, wouldn't you rather Schroeder get those secondary ball-handler minutes instead of Russ? If they were able to turn Russ and a 1st into say, Bojan and Burks, this team could be an offensive juggernaut when healthy. You also get a legitimately deep rotation with 10-11 guys with diverse skillsets. Russ is just redundant on this team when he's arguably not even better than Schroeder on a minimum.

I see what you're trying to say, it's just not going to go over well on this site.

Beverly is great to have as a defensive guy, and a dude that will hit the occasional 3, and you turn Russ into Bojan which frees up Schroder as the go-to guard.

In reality, Beverly has almost always been a negative this entire season, and Russ has given us life off the bench, turning Bryant into a legit starting center.

We're in a Schrödinger's Cat situation, where if we lose Russ, we lose backup assists to bigs but gain shooting (which potentially ends up evening out, and not improving the roster) or we keep Russ, get no shooters and potentially end up with boneheaded plays that cost us valuable games, or worse, a game in the playoffs.

The best of both worlds is to get a guy like Bojan without losing Russ, and limiting Russ' opportunities to fukk us by potentially benching him in critical situations. Schroder has proven he should be the closing guard. He can shoot, get to the basket with ease and is a 90% free throw shooter, which is exactly what you need in close game situations. The Lakers are ALWAYS in close game situations.

the ether
I just realized that Bron is well on his way to another All-NBA selection.

The 5 locks right now would be KD, Tatum, Giannis, Bron, Zion (if he plays)

AD could be 6th if he plays enough but it's really not looking like he will. That leaves Jaylen Brown, Randle, Sabonis, DeRozan, PG13....none of those look likely to pass up Bron unless he falls off big time. So basically he just has to keep playing healthy and at the same level and he's in.

That would be his 19th All-NBA selection. No one else in NBA history has more than 15. That's a wild fukking stat, especially considering all the great forwards whose careers he has overlapped with.
