AD might still be around, spacing would be better. Record would be better.
And even if he wasnt Turner and Hield could easily step into bigger roles. Two of the better players in the league at their positions. Imagine Turner back there last night instead of Thomas Bryant. But word was the Lakers were still hoping to trade for Kyrie cause they only care about stars and even now are just sitting and hoping that a top 20 player just becomes available instead of building their roster responsibly. It’s like they don’t realize depth and wings are the most important keys to winning in the league today….,even though that’s exactly what their dumbasses won a championship with. The best version of Kyrie doesn’t fix this team.….Zach Lavine doesn’t fix this team. You would need to plug a top 5 guy in there like a KD or a Jayson Tatum to become a contender……and that’s only because they address everything at once. And you’ll never get a top 5 guy with their assets so they continue to just circle around in this bullshyt holding pattern

Im honestly not sure what the Lakers plan is.. we're holding onto our picks for later down the road, and we want to free up cap space for this upcoming FA class which consists of:

Westbrook
Kyrie (who will probably stay in BKN)
Draymond (who has a player option)
Kevin Love (Lmfao)
DLO (no)
Vucevic
Harrison Barnes
Jeremiah Grant
Myles Turner
Caris LeVert

I mean...... Why are we putting all our eggs in this basket? We've been doing it for years, all the moves we've made have been specifically for this FA class. Not carrying any long term $$ the constant roster turnover year after year.

They want to duck the repeater tax.

If you are a tax team 3 years in a row the 3rd year you get a big penalty.

Norfeast groovin…
I truly hate that luxury tax bullshyt. Teams are penalized for doing a good job with team construction and development. Seems ridiculous to me. I suppose there’s a reason for it but it just seems like such bullshyt that for example we couldn’t keep Caruso because of fukkin tax money.

If Bron can get this team to .500 sometime in january... That's a notch in his belt.

The thing is the Lakers can only do that with defense. And AD was anchoring the paint. I dunno. The Lakers need to see if they can get a defensive rebounding big. Maybe Drummond for Nunn or something.
