Kyrie was an option but he wanted 4 years and we would only offer 2 to match him with Bron and AD. The deal for Kyrie was 2 first rounders and likely Austin Reaves. As a Lakers fan who has lived in NYC for over a decade and follows the Nets, I know this to be true
That's not a realistic deal. If a team has to do an overpay and another doesn't, they are sending you a message

The Lakers were considering it and would’ve tried to move Reaves out of it. He ended up on Dallas because they gave him a handshake on 4 years and 200 million.

Lakers got a lot of work to do

The Lakers only got 4 players under contract with 28 million.

17th overall pick
2nd rounder

Reaves is the only rights I'll keep. You don't need Rui rights to resign him to a team friendly deal. Obviously fukk Russell's right.

Moves I would make
Resign Dennis and Walker for cheap
Match any Reaves offer since his rights are cheap
Sign Kyrie
Resign Rui with some of the MLE
Sign Dillion Brooks with the rest of the MLE
Sign Trey Lyles
Sign Mike Muscala and Dwayne Dedmon
Draft shooters who can move
Look for shop Vando or just keep him as a backup 3.

Kyrie/Dennis/Pippen Jr.
Reaves/Hawkins(17th)/Walker
Brooks/Vando
Bron/Rui/Lyles
AD/Muscala/Dedmon

Every player the Lakers add need to be able to shoot. Brooks isn't much of a shooter but the Lakers also need perimeter defense like a mother fukker

I don't believe in no handshake deal with Kyrie of all people. Kyrie doesn't follow the money, he follows his beliefs and his heart.

Good coach, Stephy Curry lite PG, generational big, and solid role players who can play both sides of the ball are the new keys to success.

If Lebron truly does retire, you gotta move away from AD. He can't be your #1 going forward

:laff: :laff: :laff: you’re a grown man stanning another man who just demanded a trade specifically because he didn’t get offered that exact deal. But this is a Lakers thread.

This is a bad post. It's one thing if we are talking about most players but we are talking Kyrie Irving. It's like you nikkas forget about that key part

he’s not. This is just a diversion from his play.

Right, LeBron is trying to divert from his 40-10-9 attempt to single-handedly drag the Lakers over a superior team, and instead wants to focus on potential retirement that would draw MORE attention to the idea he's not good enough anymore.

Your agenda posting looks so dumb.

He's obviously trying to put pressure on ownership to not play it cheap again, telling them they ain't getting him back if they don't go all out.

They dont care about sounding sane and intelligent only about carrying out the anti lebron agenda

Kyrie wasn’t signing an extension with anybody. He wouldn’t have been able to make as much on an extension as opposed to free agency. That report was always some bullshyt..

Rui gonna make WAY more than the MLE. And even Reeves and holds alone putting you over the cap. You have nothing whatsoever to sign Kyrie with.

Only leverage is going to be finding someone who will take d-lo in a sign and trade.
