It's not even just that, you also need someone on the floor to dictate offense when Lebron is out there as well. Not all of Lebron plays are good, and someone needs to hold him accountable to that.
Very true.

Plus you need someone to set up him and AD. It all shouldn't be up to Bron to set AD up, then to create on his own for his shot.

I think they miss Russ immensely in that regard.

It’s pretty damning though that we’ve had golden opportunities in two games but our best players just couldn’t take it home.
Is it though? We were one of the worst teams at the end of games all season and it was largely because of our top 2 players. It was so apparent that we would call L’s if the game was tied with 3 mins left cause we know AD was gonna miss free throws and Bron was going to miss step back 3s while the opposing star would take it home.

I disagree with this in the postseason.. the Timberwolves game was close and we edged it out. Memphis game a couple of times and they edged it out. Warriors game a couple of times and we edged out the W.

I consider game 2 the first real time they haven't won a game they really should have. Some of the others were in a huge comeback after being down a big

Timberwolves game AD almost choked it away after Dennis saved them. Memphis game Bron came thru at the end. Warriors game was all Lonnie Walker game 4 and game 1 AD and Bron were choking at the end hence the 14-0 run.

But again they won those games... This is the 1st postseason "close game" they've lost they should have won.

Given all the recent hype, I’d say it is from the standpoint of having our doubts confirmed. Even after everything shown in these playoffs this is still the same team.

This is where Bron/AD miss playoff Rondo.

They would get those automatic baskets after cutting to the rim. Dennis doesnt see it. Sometimes the Lakers would just get those baskets to help stop runs.

And TBF that was a good area for Russ during games as well (until the 4th where they just dare him to shoot).

The best home team in the league operated the best at home. Good on Denver. Stop falling for the witchcraft. Be concerned if the Lakers fail at home. :beli:

Doesnt matter when. If the Lakers take care of business at home then they just have to steal one in Denver.

It will be difficult brehs

Lakers don't have the same edge they had over the last two teams it seems

But I still got faith that the Lakers can take this series in 6 or even 7

I guess my issue is that even when we did figure something out it didn’t exactly work. Sure, I could be wrong and we might be able to put enough together to get through this series.

But imo, this team needs to play out of its mind in order to succeed because this team isn’t even supposed to be here. Stealing those road games meant a lot in terms of morale and shifting home court in our favor. Now, we’ll need to steal a road game in the latter part of the series which might be a tougher ask. I’m sayin, of course we can still win it but it doesn’t look good at all. And honestly there’s no shame in that. This is a great team we’re playing and maybe they’re due for a finals run. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we hold serve at home and steal game 5. But I’m prepared for the end fr.

I'm prepared for the end as well, but it's the fact that D'lo been playing like absolute shyt, and AD having a shyt game yesterday, yet we was still in in that gives me hope.

Even if D'lo could average 15-20+ it would turn the series around, or at least Dennis/Walker contribute when they are out on the floor. Rui got so many great looks yesterday because he kept attacking Denvers defense, idk why the others can't do the same.

Yeah that does make it frustrating. Consistent contributions from DLo and AD would have us in the driver’s seat rn. That’s what makes it concerning fr. But it’s also why I haven’t closed the door on a potential series win. But a lot has to change very fast and I don’t know if it will. DLo isnt even Murray’s son right now he’s Bruce Brown’s son. AD has a legit HOF big man opposite of him and he can’t rise to the occasion, and age and injuries got the best of Bron.

If we can get major contributions from Reaves, Rui, and some cameos from Dennis and Lonnie then maybe we can squeeze some wins out. As has been said, the main thing is to bring the offense on the level the defense has been on.

When Lebron is feeling fatigued he needs to defer to Rui/Reaves more often instead of taking threes.

I honestly think both of them guys need more shots & Rui game reminds me of Carmelo Anthony in his glory days :wow:.

Ideally AR or D'Angelo should be on the floor at all times for spacing, but D-Lo's been so bad it makes it difficult to stick with him.
