Yea I think it’s a successful season regardless. I just don’t agree with some people sharing the sentiment we’ll be dangerous moving forward because of chemistry. Bron gonna be 39 with already visible signs of slowing down and AD isn’t durable. I feel like this year is our best and only chance tbh. I do think we’ll be a middle of the pack of the west team next season tho depending on health.
If Lebron comes back to how he was pre foot injury I would like our chances next year. But if he come back worse than he currently is. Then we have no shot at all.

I'll say this tho. AD and Bron game compliments each other well where Bron's strengths cover for things AD and vice versa and shows more now with the current supporting cast again. Beat two of the best home teams in the league this year in these playoffs, we're about to face the toughest one yet, we got a strong punchers chance. Both teams undefeated at home also this post season

I'm laughing how alleged Lakers fans like @Sccit still haven't made a post about the Lakers 3 days since they won a big playoffs series but they were the first ones to post when the Lakers lost. SMH @ the only fanbase that has fans who want their team to lose in the playoffs

I'm annoyed by the media trying to paint this narrative of Lebron elevating this team to contention.

AD has been the Lakers most important player all season (even Bron said so). AD has been the Lakers BEST player for most of the season.

Bron wasn't even playing when the Lakers made their big playoff push, but people are trying to give him credit for it.

Bron has been great most of the season, but there have been stretches where (despite his numbers) he's just been okay. He's had some horrible turnovers in key moments and has taken some downright dumb threes when playing from behind.
AD is the only superstar that gets 20 rebounds twice in a series against the defending champs… locks up curry in a series defining moment and still gets no respect or hype from the media.

I'm not saying Bron isn't valuable or important to this team (that'd be stupid), but he's not consistently having the impact he used to have. I don't see the need for all.these "Lebron is leading the Lakers to the finals" narratives.

They made their big playoff push without him, they've won games where he's played poorly (by his standards). Compare that to how that team looks without AD on the floor.

Lebron’s basically getting his flowers because the league knows he’s almost at the end of his time. 2 more seasons tops and he’ll be retired, they want to milk as much as they can out of the cash cow while they can. He broke the scoring record, the Lakers made an IMPROBABLE push during the last half of the season, and are now on an unprecedented playoff run. Its all about marketing. And it doesn’t hurt that the players in the league still see Lebron as the ultimate competition. Dillon Brooks wasn’t talking trash and trying to bait Anthony Davis. Steph Curry wasn’t scratching his head telling his teammates he was trying to “figure out” Anthony Davis. Lebron is still very much front and center

We’ll try him on Jamal Murray to start but the leash won’t be 5 games like it was last series. The problem is, Dennis is too small to guard Jamal and DLo is too woat on defense. We can try Reaves but Jamal might be too shifty for him. It’s completely different than guarding Klay where u knew Klay just wanted to shoot.

It ain’t like Jamal is a 6’8 pg. He’s like 6’4. Kind of physical but Dennis should do fine on him. That’s definitely going to be Dennis’ matchup. Ham considers Dennis the most important defensive lynchpin after AD..

Yea this is 100% facts. AD has been our most important player and best player in the playoffs. I’ll say Bron was better in the regular season but it hasn’t been close in the playoffs Jokic and Jimmy are probably the only two players that have been better than AD these playoffs.
I think Colin Cowherd said it best. People are too caught up in comparing LeBron to prime LeBron.

If you take away the name and just look at production you'll see a guy getting 23/10/5, top 5 defensive rating (of players who played more than 3 games), 2nd in defensive win shares, AD's PER is only slightly higher.

I think its wrong to say its not close. Not close would be current LeBron vs maybe bubble AD. This AD has had the best games, but he's also had arguably the worst games as well. Because of that you'll still see people giving Bron more credit/hype cause he's 38 coming off an injury doing what he's doing. Its kinda insane. It just seems meh at times when you think of it in comparison to LeBron just 4 months ago.

Nuggets series will tell the tale if LeBron has already emptied the tank or if he has another gear though.

More I think about the Nuggets forwards you sorta gotta give Troy Brown Jr a look right :patrice:

Short leash obviously. But if Vando's offense is hurting you still need someone like that who can guard MPJ
