'There is a concern' teams may offer more than 4 years, $50 million deal Lakers can give (Shams)

Jeanie penny pinching ass back it again brehs:francis:

Fuuuuuuuck:damn:
This is a non story. Under the CBA, we can only offer the 4 for 50. He can sign more on the open market, but we can (and will) match any contract and have his bird rights.

I think the Lakers may start Bron or Rui on Jokic and have AD sag off of Gordon and play free safety.

It's a risky strategy but it worked well in the bubble. Of course, Bron and Rui are nowhere near the post defender Dwight is.

Really sucks that there isn't really a viable backup big to put on Jokic. McGee/Dwight were good for that. Bamba is getting put through the rim, and Thompson is getting spun into circles.
Bron would get cooked tbh . That big slob is like 290 . Id rather a 38 year old not guard a post menace :ld:

Vando is hovering on that "unplayable" territory right now. The playbook is out on him. If he's not giving you anything offensively his defensive abilities aren't enough for him to see the floor.
I remember reading in series thread Vando is close to an all star, Im like breh he cant even make open shots that teams are GIVING HIM :heh:

If he ever hits that corner 3 with consistency, like even PJ Tucker level, he will be an elite role player.

I'm laughing how alleged Lakers fans like @Sccit still haven't made a post about the Lakers 3 days since they won a big playoffs series but they were the first ones to post when the Lakers lost. SMH @ the only fanbase that has fans who want their team to lose in the playoffs

I'm annoyed by the media trying to paint this narrative of Lebron elevating this team to contention.

AD has been the Lakers most important player all season (even Bron said so). AD has been the Lakers BEST player for most of the season.

Bron wasn't even playing when the Lakers made their big playoff push, but people are trying to give him credit for it.

Bron has been great most of the season, but there have been stretches where (despite his numbers) he's just been okay. He's had some horrible turnovers in key moments and has taken some downright dumb threes when playing from behind.

Disagree with this. AD is the most important player, but Lebron has been the straw that stirs the drink. He literally fills all the holes that this team has and what they lack.

He's an additional rim protector, he's a wing defender, he's a ball handler, he can score, he's a playmaker, he tries to spread the floor and be a 3pt shooter, he's a rebounder, he's the QB on the offensive end setting up plays, and a FS telling people where to go on the defensive end.

Lebron has saw that this team has players who need the ball in their hand.... DLO, DS, Austin all need the ball in their hands heavy, and he has changed his game and can revert back whenever needed

I'm not saying Bron isn't valuable or important to this team (that'd be stupid), but he's not consistently having the impact he used to have. I don't see the need for all.these "Lebron is leading the Lakers to the finals" narratives.

They made their big playoff push without him, they've won games where he's played poorly (by his standards). Compare that to how that team looks without AD on the floor.

Yea this is 100% facts. AD has been our most important player and best player in the playoffs. I’ll say Bron was better in the regular season but it hasn’t been close in the playoffs Jokic and Jimmy are probably the only two players that have been better than AD these playoffs.

Whether we win the championship or not, I'd say this turned out to be a successful season considering how we started and where we ended, whenever/wherever that may be.

A lot of people think the Nuggets are gonna run us out the building but guys like Jokic and Murray tend to shrink when playing against LeBron in moments like these.

Something tells me we'll be in the Finals 🤷🏾‍♀️.

If LeBron was to make it and win title #5 I think this will be even more greater than his Cleveland ring 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Yea I think it’s a successful season regardless. I just don’t agree with some people sharing the sentiment we’ll be dangerous moving forward because of chemistry. Bron gonna be 39 with already visible signs of slowing down and AD isn’t durable. I feel like this year is our best and only chance tbh. I do think we’ll be a middle of the pack of the west team next season tho depending on health.

This is what's annoying you? Really? We have a big series coming up and you in here crying about who gets the most credit. They could give all the credit to Dennis Schroder for all I care.
