Things I've gotten wrong about the playoffs so far:

Rui has been better than I anticipated
Beasley has been worse than I anticipated
I didn't see Walker's contribution coming at all
Vando's offensive problems have made him less playable than I thought he'd be
I thought Brown would be a bit more useful
Warriors' supporting cast was less reliable than I thought they would be

Things I've gotten right:

Grizzlies were a good matchup for the Lakers
Rui's matchup problems limited his minutes in the WCSF
Bron has played like a proven vet in every must-win game
Bron's foot injury is keeping him from hitting the highest level
AD has excelled defensively but can't be trusted offensively game-to-game
D-Lo, Reaves, and Schroder played pretty much how I thought they would
Lakers can't be trusted to hit threes

I did not expect Lakers to go this far. The difference is day and night compared to the Lakers from 1st half of the season.

This is how better teams can get if you give the core a better role players and starters.

When Lakers had Westbrook, you could just leave him wide open :russ:

I think Nuggets are the worst matchup for the Lakers in the entire NBA. If they can beat them, the Finals should actually be easier.

Every Denver starter is shooting 39% or better from 3pt range for the postseason, led by Jokic's 48%. What a wild fukking stat.

Imagine telling some 1990s team, "We're going to field a lineup that is 6'3", 6'5", 6'8", 6'10", and 6'11". They're gonna average 4.5 threes/game EACH and every one of them will hit 40% or better."
There’s no shot of them shooting like that against the best defense in the league. Phoenix is horse shyt defensively. AD should be able to guard Jokic straight up without all the doubling which opens up those shots. And Denver has zero rim protection and Jokic guarding AD compared to Draymond is a joke. Vanderbilt is much more suited guarding Murray than he was Stephen, it was just that Stephen was his only defensive matchup against GS. I like our matchups.

A lot of yall was shytting on Pelinka and Jeannie

Now a lot of yall need to fukking apologize:pacspit:

My dawg, I was adamant about not trading those first round picks to get rid of Russ. Pelinka knew what needed to happen.

Still is crazy to me that the Lakers made it this far. This has to be the most unlikely Lakers playoff run ever.

What gives me confidence is that the Lakers have a great record in conference finals.

I think mo should be ready this series and will give 5-7 min. Warriors have not played a defensive team yet. T wolves and suns don’t play the type of defense we play. Not saying it’s gonna be easy or a win but denver has a lot to think about cuz bron Ad and this supporting cast ain’t t wolves or 2 man show of suns

James is going to be the key. Lakers need him to be efficient and effective every game. He and Gordon are going to be a battle. But James will also have to give defensive effort. Gordon will battle for boards, cut for layups and is a capable 3pt shooter. James will have little time to rest. Can he hold up another series of every other days?

what’s vanderbilts role this series? Like I predicted pre warriors series, there was no matchup for him. Do we put him on Aaron Gordon?

I feel like we should start Rui this series. Gives us size and offense. Unless Vando guards Jamal, there’s really no matchup out there that justifies him starting and playing heavy mins
