I think this is a good series for Rui to start. Unless Jokic gonna somehow take advantage of his lack of off-ball awareness.

Question is how early D-Lo gets pulled for Schroeder if Murray starts going off.

Here's another question - with no backup for AD, who goes in to cover Jokic when AD goes out? Is it Gabriel, TT, Bron, Rui, or Vando?
If Boston beats Philly then its easy sailing in the finals (for AD in terms of matchups).

So against Jokic I wouldnt be shocked if they just play him 40 to 42 mins a game. Some of the time he sits is when Jokic sits.

@Regular_P You think they should start Rui as well

We going to the NBA finals and will face Boston/Heat.

Both will be good stories to tell. Title tiebreaker & storied rivalry vs story of two underdog teams making it to the Finals and Bubble rematch.

C'mon Adam Silver the script is too good. :wow:

I'd start Vando again. Denver is the first team they're playing without a rim protector. Give him a chance to get something going in the paint off cuts in the first game or two of this series.

Box score is crazy.
Almost 5 players in double digits.
4 over 15.
Team overall is amazing.
Lebron knows when to be effective and it's incredible. When Reaves is going off LeBron is chasing rebounds playing D.
Reaves' foul artistry is masterful. He's good on both offense and offensive-defense. And he got heart because he was a ghost in the first 4 1/2 games.
AD is one of the most effective players on both ends of the floor. I loved watching him fight for rebounds. Came out strong the first quarter too. I like the alley-oop to set the tone.

Props to the Warriors. They're tough.

Yeah, I absolutely agree, they need AD for every minute they can. But they can't control everything. If he gets into foul trouble, needs a breather, has a minor injury and needs to come off the court, what are the Laker options at that point?

I think Nuggets are the worst matchup for the Lakers in the entire NBA. If they can beat them, the Finals should actually be easier.

Every Denver starter is shooting 39% or better from 3pt range for the postseason, led by Jokic's 48%. What a wild fukking stat.

Imagine telling some 1990s team, "We're going to field a lineup that is 6'3", 6'5", 6'8", 6'10", and 6'11". They're gonna average 4.5 threes/game EACH and every one of them will hit 40% or better."

That's wild. AD was coming out to guard Steph though. And Steph can hit from over a brick wall. I think AD can do better with Jokic. Rest of the team is pretty long that can face up can't they?

let jokic eat and shut down rest of team..

start bamba/thirstan on jokic... hes obviously Gon kill em.. but have ad roaming.. bron roaming.. put vando on murray.. make it hard for kcp/magaporter.. i think lakers win comfortably.. even if jokic avg over 30... as long as we shut down the rest of em..

If the Lakers go long, that limits them to certain lineups. KCP can shoot over D-Lo, MPJ can shoot over damn near everyone. I would probably start off with:

Jokic - AD
Gordon - Rui
MPJ - LeBron
KCP - Reeves
Murray - Schroder

Bring in D-Lo to lead the offense off the bench, if he has to guard Murray then at least have him be a little fresher.
