I like the diversity, some might not like the modern stuff but it’s something different and fresh to hear him on newer production. He can pretty much rap on any type of production judging by this project.
Tbh the most traditional “Griselda-esque” songs are here are among the worst

King to a God and this latest project are probably the most replayable Conway projects since his initial run from Reject 2 to G.O.A.T

only song I don’t like on this is that KD joint. Con’s hooks are still more miss than hit

7xvetheGenius and Skeese have a lot of potential. Sister Abigail is the clear standout on here.

edit:

I don’t like the Daringer joint either
Agree with all this, before the edit

And yeah, Jae Skeese has mad potential. Everyone peep Asphalt Calligraphy album, and his verse on this Roc Marci beat

I don’t mind the last joint because it’s at the end, but I’m not loving the Alc beat. Coming off the heels of the Lulu project, Dough Damani, and hearing Piano Love and God Don’t Make Mistakes...it’s kinda lame to hear Al with such a boring loop after so much recent heat with Conway.

I think a big issue is that among mixed production, the Daringer type beats really stick out like a sore thumb. I’m at the point where I’d rather there be more or less of them. With a lot of dope modern production, and only having one or two loops like that? It makes things not as cohesive IMO.

This project reminds me of King to a God if you swapped some of the beats by Primo, Havoc, Alchemist, Erick Sermon, Khrysis, and 9th Wonder out for beats by Don Cannon, Cardiak, Bangledash, JR Swiftz, and Cozmo.

Both projects had a dope blend. King was more boom bap heavy. This is more modern heavy. Both sound dope.

I’m at the point with Daringer where I prefer the Raw Oysters or Damani type beats

or something like this:

from him than these “All 70” type guitar loops. If he’s gonna go with the guitar at least it make it bang like Mr Fuji

No doubt. If it makes you or anyone reading feel any better, the whole handful of Daringer beats on the upcoming GDMM all have drums and aren’t the electric guitar riff loops. They sound more like Damani and Raw Oysters. All the Alc beats on it have drums too.

I think I didn’t mind this SE Gang joint because the last guitar loop I remember is All 70 from Tana Talk 3. I would’ve liked this new one here without West. It made the best drag on too long. I think would’ve been dope just with Conway and Benny.

Good to hear Coz Pacino not wasting beats on Berner. Hope he gets on more projects like this and moves away from that guy.
