Basically what he made signing to Shady he is putting back into clearing samples for the album. Make it make sense
Man this album better have some track list reconstruction, this shyts been leaked on YouTube for over a year. Piano love got released way too early, it’s probably even be better to put it as a bonus track now. I’m sure he has other alchemist bangers in the chamber or he can make one right away to replace it. I want something lyrically as killer as 94 ghost on a hard banger from alc. I’m sick of waiting... I hope this album has a dark grimy feel (that’s what Conway does best just like mobb deep) mixed with those personal and storytelling tracks. I don’t think I’ll be disappointed but the rollouts def a fukk up, at this point I just hope that the label doesn’t mess it up.

I think it's a legacy thing for him. He wants to be known as one of the best ever, and releasing a great to classic album on a major checks off a few boxes. He could be looking for awards, too.

Interscope would handle that, not Shady/Em. And they aren’t clearing samples unless you can recoup. This album might do what, 10-20k first week? This is why the Shady move didn’t make sense to me from jump. Can’t clear samples, can’t drop when you want, etc. I would have just signed a distribution deal with Empire or somebody and went ham with the vinyl/merch/etc.

another factor is that Em isn't remotely involved with Shady Records. He's super disconnected from it and I don't think he really cares about it at all.
