I'm not a Drake stan, like at all, but it's interesting him giving guys like Griselda focus compared to the music he makes and what he chooses to jump on (trendy, radio shyt). Is the Drake feature still somewhere in the air, does WSG or Benny have it?
Good question. I think there are 2 Drake features. One os Drake and Benny, and the other is Drake and Conway. I heard a rumor that the Drake and Conway song was Anza, and that Drake got replaced with Armani once something with his verse fell through.

The songs definitely exist somewhere, but I'm not sure we'll ever hear them.

that album was ok, didn't hate nor love it
I thought it was cool. At first it kind of threw me off with all the modern production styles, but I read an interview where he said he basically made it with the intention of just flexing his skills on modern style beats instead of boom bap and sampled beats. And when I listened it through that frame, I think I appreciated it a little bit more. I like that he was experimenting a little bit and trying something different. It's definitely not my favorite sound from him, but I also didn't think it sounded forced or unnatural.

Something dropping soon

Hell yeah. This is coming faster than people think. As soon as West started posting written tracklists and stuff about WMTS, I think it was out within a month. Same happened with WWCD.

I know this wait has been forever, but now that the ball is rolling I think it'll be pretty fast. I know that the artists and producers have signed their legal paperwork and stuff, and I don't think that usually happens until there's at least a tentative release date in mind from the label. I don't think they wanna pay for shyt they aren't going to release at that point.

Seems like most of the wait was actually on Conway and not Shady. Once he actually finished the album and submitted it, it seems like things are likely moving at a more typical pace that we are used to.

I seen somewhere saying it’s gonna drop around August, I’m guessing it’s right on time.

Bruh just listen

Ross already raps over those type of beats some times and you can tell Wayne respect Con enough to try and outshine him

Hook is GAHBAGE.

That’s why Conway can’t drop a classic album :hubie:

The snippet KING. shyt be sounding FIRE in short spurts. Then you round out the whole song with the hooks & :gucci:

Aite I'm behind. Is this a Shady release or independent?
This is Shady. It's been in the works for a couple of years now. Most of it was recorded from late 2019 through about this time last year, and a couple of songs were recorded early 2021.

Sample clearance issues were a big hold up. Shady didn't want to pay for much. Conway talked to some of the sampled artists, and even went into his pockets to get a few things cleared.

This album has been held up forever, but it's finally been submitted, mixed, and mastered. This is the big major official album that's he's been talking about forever now, despite having well over a dozen projects out. It's closest in sound to From King to a God. If people liked that, they should like this. The big difference is this has more personal/introspective songs. It was supposed to drop right after King to a God, but the delays messed up the timing.

Here’s the cuts that didn’t make it

GDMM leftovers:

Can’t You Be ft. A Boogie & Jeremih (Prod. Hitmaka)

Born Rich Die Richer (Prod. Wondagurl)

Courtside at Barclays (Prod. Beat Butcha)

Bessies Fair (Prod. 9th Wonder)

You the One (Prod. Aarab Muzik)

Here’s what didn’t make it on From King to a God

Tru Bethel ft. 2chains (Prod Trizzy Williams)

50c Razors ft. Drake (Prod. Murda Beatz)

5500 (Prod. Rick Hyde)

Stay Solid Ft Freddie Gibbs (Prod. Beat Butcha)

I think that’s everything that didn’t make it on both

You're a real one for compiling and keeping up with al this stuff. Daps and rep. I'm gonna make OG versions of these albums when the songs are all out.

I'll give one correction though. Stay Solid with Conway and Gibbs is what people were calling the song that ended up becoming Seen Everything But Jesus. So we ended up getting that song. Crack in the 90's was on the original FKTAG and Serena Venus was on the original GDMM, but they both ended up on FKTAG Deluxe. I think you covered everything.

EDIT: I've heard rumors that 50cc Razors feat. Drake ended up becoming Anza. Not sure if true though.

EDIT 2: @LJLYDK! do you know what happened to this? It was recorded for Lulu, and then he said he was going to add Jadakiss and Gibbs and put it on King to a God, and I've never heard it played or mentioned ever since.
