Listening to GOAT and it’s a lot better than I remember. Between this and the original stuff he put on those Steroids mixtapes Daringer was def in his bag that year
Without a doubt. GOAT is one of my favorite releases after the dust settled on being underwhelmed from how hyped up it was. Dude was literally saying it was gonna be the best hip-hop release since Purple Tape, and while I don't think anyone expected that...this wasn't that far removed from The Cow, and he didn't have a ton of releases yet. So when he dropped it on Soundcloud with the tags fukked up it was mad frustrating.
In hindsight it's a solid release and I recommend it to people that may not want a no guest project like Blakk Tape. It's a good way to ease into his music without getting overwhelmed. I do think they fukked up by leaving off Westside Gunn. '94 Ghost, Spurs, Hell's Kitchen, and some of those Steroids joints that Daringer produced should've been on there.
And I still think Third F is mad repetitive and Mandatory sounds like a PRhyme leftover track.
