I swear Nottz got the best drums ever
Yep. Bass lines too.
I got probably 10 or 12 joints on that. I have zero features on there right now. I mean, I got [Westside Gunn] and [Benny The Butcher] on there, but outside of that, I have zero features." He later added that Rapsody is "on the joint, too."
I ain't mad at it I just think it's funny that dude emphatically said zero features, them mentioned Benny and WSG, and then goes, oh Rapsody too.
Accidentally had They Get Sonny blasting for a few seconds when I entered a Zoom meeting for work. Had a couple coworkers asking "who is that laughing? Is that the song? What is that"
He has a tape with Big Ghost on deck too.
all facts. i told brehs ...Alchemist is better than them dudes. The thing that stands out to me about Alchemist vs the people I'd place in my top 5 off the top of my head (RZA, Premo, etc) is that he never fell off. RZA fell off, hard, a long time ago. Premo has been stuck in a rut where he's been remaking the same 3-5 tracks over and over to diminishing returns. Pete Rock is still cool, but when he releases those beats from the 90s that he never let people hear it becomes clear that there's a difference between his new shyt and the old shyt. Alchemist just keeps releasing dope shyt. Same with Madlib. Same with Just Blaze. Same with DJ Muggs. That has to count for something. Not saying I'd put Alch ahead of Premo...Alch would slap me if I did lmao. But I don't remember the last time I heard a Premo beat that was "great."
