I'm about to listen for a 2nd time but that was my favorite on the 1st listen.

If you want my honest and semi-informed) opinion, I think there are some issues with sample clearances for God Don't Make Mistakes. As a result...I think Conway is releasing more projects than anticipated. He was very adamant on that new Year's 2020 Rap Radar podcast that he did not want to release ANYTHING else before God Don't Make Mistakes.

Either that or dude genuinely seems to be talking about the Coronavirus and taking it more seriously than a lot of artists I've seen. He seems to understand that people can't go out and wants to give them music. So I don't know how long this King to a God project has been in the works (it drops one month from today on April 30th) but I'm pretty sure he took some of the joints recorded for Lulu and is moving them to that project.

If you notice in that Complex interview from today that @BK The Great posted, he said King to a God drops in April and God Don't Make Mistakes is dropping "soon." So who knows when that'll drop.

I just gotta :salute: dude for not sitting on good material and hoarding it.

Hopefully it’s soon.

I’m sort of being an armchair A&R here which I try not to do that much, but I really think that The Contract would’ve been the perfect closing track on here (especially without the WSG style singing at the end).

The production on that song has a celebratory vibe to it and the bars have some more substance as well.

it just sounds a little bit weird to me sandwiched in between 14 Ki’s and Shoot Sideways.

It’s a minor thing though.

I said it in the Boldy James thread and I'll say it here...Alchemist is on some dark ass, DJ Muggs type wave right now and I love it.
:wow:

Calvin :dwillhuh:

They Got Sunny :ooh:

Best Griselda project I've heard since Tana Talk 3. This is dope....and it's short enough to avoid the "super gangsta fatigue" I tend to experience with Griselda projects. I can only listen to so much one note stuff. But even with just 6 songs, there's some lyrical variety and emotion here.

this is definitely why I like some of the shorter projects and it’s another reason why when people ask me what Benny project they should start with I see plugs I met instead of tana talk 3 even though I like that one more. Just because I feel like it’s better to start with the shorter projects.
