Still whatever on the track but I'll def say this is the best Gunn verse I've heard in awhile.
Just curious what you thought of Hermes 8? I’m guessing not a big fan?Still whatever on the track but I'll def say this is the best Gunn verse I've heard in awhile.
I like a lot of tracks on both albums, I'm just not into Gunn's raps usually. Rome Streetz is kind of the MVP on both albums to me, beats are dope for the most part, Stove God did his thing. It's cool.Just curious what you thought of Hermes 8? I’m guessing not a big fan?
Did anyone actually expect him to move the needle? I sure didn't. For real, I think basically anyone that was a half a fan of these dudes hoped for was to get an album released that didn't sound cheesy, over-produced, and was true to them and what they do. Maybe they thought they would move the needle more when they signed the deal with Shady, but I don't think anyone actually expected them to a-list celebs or anything. It's not gonna move the needle

I'm actually super impressed at the amount of attention they've gotten already. It's been so much more than I expected when I first heard them on Griselda Ghost in late 2015.
Speaking personally, I really love critiquing beats when a producer does a full project. Like MadGibbs, BoldChemist, or Nas-Hit. It's way more fun when I think of an entire album as one song with all these different little sections of it. I think producers get to shine way more when you can hear a lot more of their work in one sitting.Funny enough I didn't hear any overly critical analysis of the beat. Y'all just save that for you know who
Beat Butcha is involved with just one song on this album (whichever one has Keisha Plum on it). Most of the production is Daringer and Alchemist unassisted, then Bink, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and Hit-Boy. Conway paid out of his own pocket to clear various samples on here. They didn't need to use Beat Butcha and Daringer on every song like the Griselda group album on Shady.
Unless you wanna hear Conway rapping about his child dying or his mental health issues and storytelling concept joints, then these are about the best you're gonna get on singles. There's a joint with Wayne and Ross that might be a single (and should've been), but besides that, this album is incredibly introspective and heavy/dark content wise. Nothing is single friendly on it whatsoever. There's a lush Bink joint on there that kinda sounds like Song Cry, but even that one has very melancholy lyrics.
There's music on here that makes The Cow sound like Summertime. It's by far Conway's darkest lyrical effort.
Both lolOkay sorry if im sounding dumb. Is these songs lying around to listen to? or are u just in the know
Both lol
A lot of them have been pulled from YouTube in the past few weeks. In the past year a good half the album has been on various places of YouTube. Mostly from Instagram live streams. Conway got real drunk and played like 75% of the album in October on IG Live.
But Conway and I also have a close mutual friend that works for him. I also used to work for 9th Wonder and Khrysis, and both of them are producing a fair amount with Conway right now. Conway and 9th got a ton of jams piled up.
Thx man!Oh that's DOPE. I should have clocked on, cus I've seen you mention it (I alt+tab when on the coli a lot) .I take you's a producer?
If what you're saying is true, I look forward to it. Griselda are masters of gritty violent rap shyt, but I also feel like they can be multi dimentional with their craft, ya know?
