Wait wait wait... Hold up!

So Em signed Cashis and Bobby Creekwater cuz they were official street nikkas? :dwillhuh:

Man I remember 2006 when he signed them nikkas I was like :why: who the fukk are these random no name nikkas???

I couldn't understand why he would sign them when he still had Stat Quo who hadn't dropped an album yet and was 2-3 years into the label.

Boogie, Conway and Westside Gunna or whatever the fukk these new nikkas names are, are names I ain't heard of either. But I stopped following rap for a couple years now so I'm out the loop.

Cashis was a street dude, not sure about Bobby Creek.

I'm from Detroit so I have a different perspective...slightly. The hood definitely played MMLP and TES. Lose Yourself definitely got play in the hood. A few years later Crack A Bottle definitely got play in the hood. But that was about it. Em's corny pop rap anthems don't even get much play on Detroit rap radio. Sure, pop radio plays them heavy. But the rap stations have largely ignored Eminem for a long time outside of the Rihanna joints.

I'd bet money Detroit hoods aren't the only hoods where Em got play in the early 2000s with MMLP and TES. Those albums had songs you could bump. It's a wrap after that.

I always wondered how and why the fukk did he get on a song with Em, 50 and Banks. That was the greatest look any rapper could get at the time.

He actually had an entire EP that Em produced on, even after his Shady deal he was still getting some Em joints. He wasn't bad either.

I'd say he probably was getting spins around 2002-2006 with the signing of 50 and the DJ Green Lantern mixtapes. He was also on DJ Kayslay mixtapes.

And then Jamar gonna go and act like that Eminem corny ass bars didn't ruin that Conway song :snoop:

Edit: Turned the clip off when i heard Jamar say Eminem "destroyed" the track. I thought he was trying to say he did a good job. Went back to listen and see that he agrees with most that Eminem fukked the shyt up with that garbage ass verse.
Pay attention dumbass

Eminem got played in the hood, not now, but when he was poppin he did. You have to be a special breed to still get played anywhere 20 years after you popped up.

ATL?
Memphis?
Brooklyn?
Philly?
Chicago?
Watts?
H-Town?
Miami?
Baton Rouge?

Yet he still sells. Which is all that matter. Ppl in the hood don't wanna be in the hoid :stopitslime:

I never heard Black Thought in my hood.

This is actually a good point. I've never heard anyone else bump BT or The Roots, and people slurp him off crazy. The "listened to in the hood" thing conveniently is only used for Em.

Ehh... to entertain this I only remember tracks Eminem was featured on getting played in the hood versus his own personal tracks.

Forgot About Dre, Patiently Waiting, Renegade, Lean Back Remix...
