Godfather 1 and 2 are classics but neither are top 3 films of all time.

Sopranos is not the greatest show of all time,

Mob movies/shows are almost always overated.

MCU has been corny for almost a decade with every superhero following the same model of being a part time comedian. It works and it sells.

I can accept a racc00n beating up a man before I can sit and watch these girl power movies where a scrawny woman is beating up trained men twice their weight.
What are your top 3 movies then?

No Whammies!!
"Million Dollar Baby" is a horrible B-movie that would have been trashed as ridiculous nonsense if not for the stars attached and political pandering

I forgot that movie even existed.

I never understood the Friday hype. :yeshrug:It's heralded as a classic but it doesn't have replay value to me at all. I prefer Don't be a Menace.

Here's one:

Every X-Men movie besides Logan was straight garbage. I still don’t understand how they kept making those joints

Whoever keeps supporting the fast and the furious; please stop, please

Black Panther was not overrated. Anyone who thinks that BP was overrated needs to stop comparing it to infinity wars, and start comparing it to other debut hero movies like Captain American, Hulk, Batman (prior to this new one), Thor, etc. BP is leagues above the majority of debut hero movies

Man Of Steel is the longest anti depressant commercial I’ve ever seen. Also, Henry Cavill is one of the worse versions of Superman :camby:

James Bond movies are boring with low rewatch ability
You know what anti depressant means

You can reboot anything. But it'll probably be shyt.

Imagine rebooting The Godfather.

Any movie can be rebooted to equal or greater critical success, in the right hands.

Even The Godfather. EVEN THE GODFATHER.

I've seen A Most Violent Year. It can be done.

Edit - If the right pieces came together, I'd greenlight a The Godfather reboot.

Scarface had one of the greatest reboots in movie history. The original Scarface was just terrible by comparison

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
City of God was overrated trash.
It was merely violence for the sake of violence.
I can't understand AT ALL why this movie gets all this praise as if it's some new avant garde film for the new century.

It's by far, BY FAR the most overrated thing I've ever seen.
First off, it was a true story.. Which gave a view into the Brazilian favelas and life.. And this was back in 2002 so there wasn't an internet full of video and tours through the hood like there is now.

The violence was shocking because, again, it was true. We didn't see or know that type of violence in America. Hell, most of the 1st world countries. Especially with it being all children so young.

Then you layer on top the story. It wasn't some regular gangster flick. The way the story is fleshed out over 3 decades, how the characters are related, how it jumps back and forth through time... Another dope concept to add to a gangster flick, that wasn't being done like that in 2002.

It would have been cool as an American flick. But the fact it was foreign, in a foreign land, and still hit on so many subjects that hit home, made for a good story. And that's not fandom talking, it's pretty much critically acclaimed for the same reasons, even though movies of this type are usually never critically acclaimed.

• Jim Kelly dying in Enter the Dragon lowkey messed up the movie for me. What a waste of a dope actor/character. (With all due respect to Bruce Lee)

• Hayden Christensen wasn’t that bad as Anakin, he just got stuck with a lot of terrible lines. No actor could have made some of that dialogue sound natural. It wasn’t Hayden’s fault.

• Marvel needs to quit playing and come correct with the Fantastic Four and X-men. It was cool to focus on the B and C-listers when they first started, but now that they have the rights, it’s time to get back to some real characters.

• X-men First Class is a well made movie on a technical level, but the :mjpls: tendencies ruined it for me. Basically every mutant who wasn’t white or a dude ended up turning heel with Magneto in the end.

• practical effects >>>>>> CGI

• The OG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) is a top 5 comic book movie of ALL time. You can tell those people really did their homework on the comics and had a genuine love for the turtles. :to:
Magneto was the Malcolm X type... What side would you choose :mjpls:
