So? It’s not like she won it a few months before her contract ended. The program worked out anyway, and it’s obvious May had no intention to stay if she’s leaving after 2 years.
Yes friend, That is the point.

MJF was made to re-sign before giving him the title
And the WWE did the same with Cody prior to WM40

That's smart business.

Smart business is being able to finish the angle out and it did. Winning a predetermined title while still under contract with a year and change left shouldn’t be an issue.

Cool, WWE needs another developmental program anyway.

Contract business is quid pro quo.

AEW pitched the Timeless/All About Eve story to Mariah before she signed anything. She was signed specifically to run that angle.

She liked the idea and probably saw it as her chance to get noticed by WWE where, like most wrestlers, she's always dreamed of performing.

AEW got the perfect supporting-lead for what will be remembered as one of their best ever angles. Toni is now regarded as one of the best wrestlers of all time. Mariah went out with her shoulders pinned, gushing blood. Sent packing to live out a "life of painful mediocrity"*

Everyone has won here, most of all us as viewers and people are still mad. :pachaha:

*hopefully achieving her dreams at Wrestlemania :mjcry:

So why even give her the fuccking belt and make her hot in the first place if she wasn’t staying? :dahell:

Could’ve done the exact same story with Harley Cameron.
If you have to worry 12-18 months in advance if you can give someone a push then you limit yourself waaay too much. And a successful 1 year is better than no run at all :manny:

Worst case scenario -which seems to be the one that will happen- Mariah May leaves but the division is stronger, Toni Storm made herself a bigger star thanks to that feud and now others can replace May in a better situation than early 2024. I can't fault TK on this one, he bet on a younger female talent, one that AEW lacked tremendously, and was able to generate an angle were all parties benefited from it.

The fact Mariah didn't decide to stay is not something you can know for sure with more than year in advance. They probably thought that by showcasing and elevating her the way they did, they had bigger chances of keeping her. If that bet didn't pan out, so be it, because the end result is still a good one (stronger division, a bigger star in Toni Storm).

Can't wait for these weirdos to harass her like they do Samantha and the false narratives they start:scust:

"Bayley was always trash anyway!" :dead:
The funny thing about Samantha is that, she isn't and hasn't signed to anyone for people to hate. Just went to begin a music career and support her now husband who just happens to work for the other company.

N-gga's just wanna try hard, ol Hatfield and McCoy asses

Almost sounds good, But that shyt it one of the main things that killed ROH and it's a reason why WWE nor AEW sign people to one year contracts. We saw what Jeff Jarrett used to do when that shyt was the norm.

Sounds like she might be out of there next year and it's hard to blame her :mjcry:

Bayley is one of them ones, but she has done everything there is to do in WWE. Bayley deserves to get the biggest bag she can from the Khans; whatever her asking price is, she's worth the investment.
