If you haven't visited mexico city, or have CLOSE SECOND HAND ACCOUNTS, don't drop links about decapitations or kidnappings.

I'm considering a trip to Mexico for Dia De Los Muertos for my birthday, and am wondering if this is a good or bad idea based on current Mexico City situations, the holiday itself, etc. If I were to rate my spanish i'd say its like a 3/10. Enough to know if i'm in trouble and order food.

Any advice [locations, do's / don'ts], or is this a trip to reconsider?

Move like the wind or you'll end up in it. That's anywhere but especially in Mexico

I went to Tulum, walked in they trap and took over they trap. But I’m a different nikka, and that was Tulum not Mexico City.

Just got back from Tulum a few weeks ago and had a 10 room air bnb in the middle of the city. Riding bikes in they hood, hooping on they court, etc… One thing about coli posters is they for sure gonna be scary as fukk in any type of scenario. Y’all the same nikkas scared to lie on y’all resume and shyt.

Everyone (Black) I know that's been to DF has loved it. It's not like you're going to Sinaloa or trying to meet El Chapo.

The real danger is the water.

My research so far

Neighborhoods - Condesa or Roma
Attractions in Mexico City - The museums are supposed to be Paris level in terms of having cool stuff to look at. Day trips to the
Shopping - Real or Real Good Fakes - they should have it.
The Food - You already know.
The DOD Parade - It doesn't look hype like a Mardi Gras, but it should be something cool.

Night Life - ? Yo no se. I'm still looking stuff up.
Mujeres - Yo habla espanol? No?

Mexico City is safe. Just stay in the tourist areas and befriend some other tourists.

People will speak English, you won’t need to know much Spanish.

Don’t leave the city or try and go somewhere on the outskirts without a guide you trust. In fact, don’t even do that.

Nothing you want is out there.

Been wanting to go as well. I have a label mate down there for the past 4-5 years, just doing quick collaborations with random people so I wanna check him out and I got an ex down there that runs an art gallery I’d be down to hang with.

Seen sand dunes out there too, I like to sandboard

Maybe next year too
