I'm trying to keep faith that as I get older, the education level and consciousness of the general public will eventually drive out shyt like Fox News and similar charlatans and liars. Something like THIS can't be considered acceptable in a civilized society that doesn't want to be considered a laughing stock.

The stage was set when news channels started posting tweets in the first place.
No random tweet should EVER be on a news story at any point unless the person tweeting is a public figure relevant to the story. It has to be the laziest, most dumbed-down form of journalism yet. "We could report on this event, but instead we'll just solicit opinions at random from anonymous people we don't know who may or may not be trolling."
