We're almost two years into this and you still don't understand how the vaccine works? This sounds less like people being sheep and more like you struggling with concepts most Americans have managed to figure out over the course of this pandemic.
what other conclusion am i supposed to takeWhere did you read that people don't think the vaccine works?

the vaccine is 95 percent effective, against a disease with a 99 percent survival rate, and those odds arent good enough? how the fukk does someone like that even get out of bed in the morning?
so why do you need a mask if you're vaccinated? oh wait; you DON'T per joe biden. and the CDC. in May
If you’ve been fully vaccinated:
- You can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.
- To reduce the risk of being infected with the Delta variant and possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.
- You might choose to wear a mask regardless of the level of transmission if you have a weakened immune system or if, because of your age or an underlying medical condition, you are at increased risk for severe disease, or if a member of your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease, or is unvaccinated.
- If you travel in the United States, you do not need to get tested before or after travel or self-quarantine after travel.
- You need to pay close attention to the situation at your international destination before traveling outside the United States.
- You do NOT need to get tested before leaving the United States unless your destination requires it.
- You still need to show a negative test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before boarding an international flight to the United States.
- You should still get tested 3-5 days after international travel.
- You do NOT need to self-quarantine after arriving in the United States.
- If you’ve had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you should get tested 3-5 days after your exposure, even if you don’t have symptoms. You should also wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until your test result is negative. You should isolate for 10 days if your test result is positive.
so basically, you don't have any kind of end goal or end date, because 100 percent vaccine availability wasn't reasonable or enough for you. you're unable to provide any timeframe at all. even after "two weeks to slow the spread" turned into 2 yearsMasking is about limiting transmission not just avoiding catching it. Since we have a bunch of people who refuse to or cannot get the vaccine, wearing a mask is as much about protecting them as it is anything else. This was pretty well recognized from the jump, because it's how mask wearing has always worked in other nations. Painting it as being scared to get out of bed makes you sound clueless...pay attention or do better.
So this carrot and stick attempt by Biden to get vaccine hesitant people to take it was always pretty foolish, but it also happened at point when the Delta Variant wasn't as well-recognized. That's that variant which is more effective at getting past the vaccine (though whether it's more lethal or causes more hospitalizations for the vaccinated was up for debate last I checked). Either way, I'm glad you cite the CDC..Here's what they actually have to say...
COVID-19 Vaccination
The bolded are focused on limiting transmission because just because you're unlikely to catch it or have a really bad experience, you still might catch and spread it. This is why venues that require proof of vaccination are typically able to be MUCH more lenient about masking. When I went to a Knicks playoff game, I sat in the vaccinated section. We didn't have to wear masks because it was known that we were all vaccinated. Unfortunately, with so many people against the vaccination or unable to get it...plus some people lying about being vaccinated...we don't get to enjoy the fruits of a fully vaccinated society yet.
