Space is the Place
1. They judges already gave exemption to Military Academies due to national security
2. Military officerships are also about leadership, which can cover a lot of things, and not academic merit 100%.
3. Having a diverse officer corps helps with troop morale and cohesiveness. Having one group of people overly represented in enlistments and with a higher chance of dying, while the officers look totally different wont sit well with troops and will cause issues.
I think there are more stronger arguments for why its needed, and most of the DoD want diversity in officerships as well. Thats why im not 100% sure they will get it rescinded
Isn't all the military academies by congressional nomination anyway? It isn't a comparable admissions process.
