Son sounds like a he was doped up or b he's a goon
I thought this was going to be like a surprise and pops popped him with the 9

Why is it that everytime a grown ass idiot shoots a kid we get people talking about, the kid was a thug or on something.

Shouldn't the guy with the gun be scrutinized for being a thug or on something. Mask or not I can recognize my son when I see him. Mask or not I can recognize a 15 year old kid when I see him.

The shooter is a goon who was drugged up on something, or maybe it was just gun rage.

A man fatally shot a masked teenager in self-defense outside his neighbor's house during what appeared to be an attempted late-night burglary and then discovered it was his son, state police said.

Police identified the dead boy as 15-year-old Tyler Giuliano, who was shot at about 1 a.m. Thursday in New Fairfield, a town along the New York line just north of Danbury.

A woman who was alone in the house believed someone was breaking in and called the teen's father, who lives next door, and he grabbed a gun and went outside to investigate, police said.

The father confronted someone wearing a black ski mask and black clothing and then fired his gun when the person went at him with a shiny weapon in his hand, police said.

When police officers arrived, the father was sitting on the grass next to the woman's home and the teen was lying in the driveway with gunshot injuries. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

"All in all it's a tragedy," state police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance said.

The teen's father, Jeffrey Giuliano, a fifth-grade teacher in town, hasn't returned a message seeking comment on what happened.

The teenager was a student at New Fairfield High School, a short walk from the neighborhood where he was killed.

Superintendent of Schools Alicia Roy sent parents an email about what happened, Danbury's The News-Times newspaper reported.

"Our district has experienced a tragedy that has affected us deeply," she wrote, adding that students weren't told of the killing because all the facts weren't clear.

No charges have been filed. State police are investigating. An autopsy on the boy is planned.

If that's what really happened, what choice did he have? If he really was prepared to attack his own father, he probably would've killed the neighbor.

So you'd rather see if they have a change of heart with a mask on charging toward you with a chrome object in their hands?

Nah, but I'm pretty confident in my ability to pretect myself. Even if he was in the wrong I couldn't live with myself if I killed someone's kid. And that's just this dudes self defense story. It's a proven fact people with a gun in their pocket feel much more threatened and aggressive.

Considering he was called for a "break-in", he was justified in going in the situation prepared. How would YOU have handled that? Your post lead me to believe you would have tried to 1 on 1 dude with no weapon. Serious question, too....

I woulda grabbed my Louiville slugger and went over there. My main concern would have been to make sure my neighbors were safe, and called the police. If i was confronted by the teen I woulda warned him and tried to reason with him. If he rushed me I would have hit him. Nobody dies, everybodies safe, and hopefully the lil dude would have learned from his mistakes.
