Term limits would lead to think tanks and lobbies churning out even more candidates.

There would be organizations devoted to developing candidates with similar views for certain districts/states to keep uniformity

If someone can only serve 8-12 years, you’re going to have to work hard to buy them. they don’t need endless funds to run re-election campaigns nonstop, you don’t know who is stepping into their seat, someone principled, someone opposed to your cause, someone from another party, someone in the bag for another company, etc. it would make the lobbying system much less efficient to have to try to buy someone new every few years.

I'm not sure why this would be true. No one "stays bought" in Washington, corporations have to constantly fund reelection campaigns for fear of losing influence. Term limits wouldn't change that, in fact it would give politicians an even greater incentive towards corruption because they know they're gonna be out of a job soon and are looking to make a soft landing in the corporate world.

Even if the uncertainty would force the corporations to spend a bit more, how would that decrease corruption? It's not like corporations are tight for money and about to run out of funds for political influence lol.

Not that I'm against term limits, I'm basically ambivalent. I don't see how it would address corruption. There are obviously a lot of legislators that have been in too long but a ton of the brand-new ones are also among the worst there.
