M$ just tried to fukk their gamers over big time and you think they would have given you games cheaper? what's M$ excuse for still having 60 dollar games that are years old in their market place then? why didn't they come out and say "with this new model, there will be 40 dollar games and DLC will be free "

They or Sony can't make their downloadable games cheaper because GameStop won't let them. Gamers have aligned themselves with GameStop so console manufactures can't afford to piss them off by lowering digital prices.

With GameStop out of the picture publishers could charge as much or as little as they want. And due to basic ecomics prices would naturally come down. But gamers have spoken, they like the status quo that they've been bytching about for years now.

They would get ALL the profit from game sales instead of sharing the profits with GameStop. It's the same reason games are cheaper on steam.

because their "retail partners" wouldn't allow it. Microsoft doesn't make any money off game sales it's the publishers that stand to gain/loose with game pricing, drm, used games, etc

They couldn't say that because things aren't worked out yet. It too k steam a couple years to start having deep discounts like they do.

What Microsoft did say is that the new model would allow publishers to explore different pricing structures. If people actually paid attention instead of raging against shyt they didn't even understand then maybe they would have caught that part of the conversation.

I just recall hearing that u could do shot like call plays, subs, timeouts & etc with the eye.
