It has to be one or the other, huh Patrick StarrWhere did MS say that they planned on reducing game prices if the drm thing panned out? Or was that all conjecture/false hope?
Funny, I thought E3 was a week ago. Basically one week to change there minds. According to you though, they should of changed it quicker? Why does it matter to you if your a playstation fan? As an xbox fan I wanted what they offered. You are messing up my gaming utopia bruh, Big Suge don't like that cuuuuuz :suge:It was MS
MS is the last company I'd trust to do right by the customer. Look what it took for them to change their tune with this shyt. It wasn't "we took the advice of our customers and feedback", it was those preorders. Plain and simple.
Is that a fact? What business course did you learn that fromif m$ wanted to prove that was their intention, new titles would already be available for a cheaper price on XBL.
There's hope then
Conjecture/false hope. I don't recall them officially going on the record about that. There was some supposed insider working for them that claimed this but nothing was ever official. If they could get people to eat their shyt at full price, which several members here have demonstrated they'd gladly do, what incentive would they have to lower prices?
Is that a fact? What business course did you learn that from
Plenty of games are cheap on XBL, maybe you should check it. As low as $5 every week, and now free games. Fable III this month, Halo 3 and AC2 next month. World of Tanks is free to play, so is Spartacus and World Series of Poker and a few others. PS3 as well, they already moving full speed ahead in that direction but whatev...

Maybe you should pose that question a little differently, use a little of the little common sense you may or may not actually posses

if that's the case, i'd rather the middle man stay.
buying a game at launch, and selling it on craigslist for 45 a month later >> buying a game digitally and saving 5-10 bucks.
if m$ wanted to prove that was their intention, new titles would already be available for a cheaper price on XBL.
Do I look like a muthafukkin Courtney to you :suge: cuuuuuuuuuuz?courtney, i specifically said new titles. please don't start with your fable, halo, ac rant, nobody cares.
Well there are many different reasons for why the prices would go down, but I'll just let Raekwon answer that for you...
But why would they lower the prices tho? I didn't go to business school so fill me in.
Plus you can just look to PC's to see how it works over there. Games are cheaper on PC for a reason. But we can ignore it if that helps yall sleep at night. I don't wanna stop nikkaz from sleeping. Go to sleep King SunIts not that easy. They cant price new titles that much cheaper on the digital market because their retail partners have stated that is a huge problem for them.
Plus lets say you buy the physical copy of a game and sell it to Gamestop for 30 bucks credit 2 months later. Gamestop has to sell that game for more than 30 bucks to make a profit. They most likely gonna price it around 45. Well on the digital marketplace the developer drops the price of the game to 25 bucks. Now Gamestop has to drop the price of that used copy to below 25 bucks and they lose money on each copy of that game they bought from consumers. Thats why you had Gamestop managers giving people a hard time when they tried to preorder an XB1. Some stores had employees giving out leaflets explaining why they shouldnt buy the console. Their jobs were on the line and they needed to do anything to keep the money flowing in. The PS4 was going to allow the system that makes them billions of dollars to keep operating so it was in their best interest to push that console.
I actually want the original console they announced, just push the online check in to 72 hours or a week so people with a power outtage arent screwed.
You might as well had wrote that post in an email and send it to mailer daemon because that dude will not see reason. fukking Shill.
:draperwhat: but MS loves the consumer tho@ Games would be cheaper, fukk outta here with that nonsense.
Part of the reason games are so cheap on PC is because if you really want to, you can pirate the hell out of games with ease. So, to get people to buy games the prices better be attractive. And secondly, the biggest vendor is Steam, which is owned by Valve a privately owned company that doesn't have shareholders to please. If digital distribution meant cheaper games, please explain to me why games on Origin (EA's service) are so fukking expensive in comparison to Steam.
Anyone that truly believes these companies would willfully cut the price of games, and thus cut their own profit margins is fukking stupid.
They already confirmed that feature for Xbox one a long time ago.
Microsoft doesn't rely on game sales unlike Valve, so your point is more for microsoft and there yet to have begun structure than it is for Steam@ Games would be cheaper, fukk outta here with that nonsense.

EA is a developer so they would want the games to be more expensive hence why Origin is priced like it is
Microsoft would of did what made the most sense for THEM which is somewhere in the middle and then eventually identical to PC. This whole pirating shyt goes for PC or console so Thats part of the reason but not all there is to it and you know this. Once again, Microsoft moves consoles, not games cuuuuuz :suge:
