These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.

So Killer Instinct, a download-only game, is seemingly unshareable and Family Share, in general, appears to be in the bushes

yea i'm lowkey upset that we lost discless play, family share , and shyt being tied to our accounts.

it seems 'family share' is out, but you can still play discless if you download the game (purchase it digitally). there should also be nothing stopping you from signing in and accessing your digital content on another console

did you miss the part about games can still eb downloaded from xbox live..starting day 1? we still have the feature to play games without discs..hope fully we can still install discs to the HDD and play without em and did we really lose family sharing?

if you brought the disc i believe you still need the disc even if you still install it on your hdd. they said there will be changes to the family share so it's wait and see and situation.

MS was mandating the 24 hour checkin at the SYSTEM level. Both left it up to publishers to block used games, but the saving grace on the PS4 was that sinc you could play offline, there's nothing a publisher could do to stop that part at least whereas on Xbox you were fukked period if you didn't check in.
