So AWS was down today. There’s speculation that it’s Russias response to Bidens threat earlier.

Let’s put that aside though. The pandemic accelerated the shift to the cloud and a lot of huge companies no longer have in house data centers. In other words they’re creating a single point of failure for a huge amount of businesses. Additionally, a hack of AWS can expose data across literally every sector including but not limited to the government and hospitals. It’s about to get real spooky as bad actors push forward with cyber crimes.

Also gotta throw in an LOL at the fact that people couldn’t use their security systems, ring cameras, certain appliances, etc. due to this.
