Seems like lots of people got fooled by all of Nike's tomfoolery with the different types of releases and limited runs. I stopped caring a big deal about sneakers years ago but from what i can remember different retailers had different types of Nike accounts, a store like Champs would have a general release account but boutique stores would have a hyperstrike, quickstrike, urban, etc.....im sure there are more, account. So you lets say Nike was going to release 20 pairs of Jordans in a year well 10 of those may be general release Jordans which would be made in large quantities and stores could expect to see numerous restocks if needed. Those shoes would also make their way to outlets after a period of time. They would also not be of the most popular colorways. Of those other 10 pairs of Jordans one of them would be the annual Christmas release which drops in more accessible stores like Foot Locker, is a pair that is very popular like some XI colorway, and would have the added benefit of preying upon parents instinct to get their kids the hottest shoe for Christmas. Those other 9 would release in specialty accounts like i listed above and unless a store in your city had that type of account you wouldn't see those shoes. Living in Memphis at one point we had 3 stores that would get urban account shoes and i believe only one would get quickstrikes. You essentially could not get limited SB Dunks or Jordans living there. Memphis isnt NYC or LA but its also not a middle of nowhere tumbleweed spot either so if we couldnt get shyt there you know people in vasts portions of the US had no access to those shoes other than resellers. -Edit, there is a Nike distribution center in Memphis so if you saw someone with limited Jordans or Dunks you knew they either worked at the DC or had family that did.

Now Nike actually makes those shoes available on the website, they release them in enough quantities so that people can actually put their eyes on them, and they have increased the number of Jordan releases in a year.

aqua 8s are garbage now?:martin:
Listen I'm just saying that the sales and availability reflect the demand for the shyts

You know why it's dumb hard to get Bred 11's? It's because that's an in demand colorway for 11's. Even if they make it general release and have restocks, the shyts will sell out immediately because they are a popular colorway.

I'm not saying 8's are trash or even Aqua 8's but it is what it is. A lot of the colorways you posted are for colorways and variants that people were not or are not feeling like that.

All those colorways you posted? I don't have ANY of those. I only like certain Jordans and only certain colorways get copped.

Those Gym Red and White 12s? I did'nt cop. But I did cop the Flu Games.

The Metallic 5's? Copped. The Olypmic 5's? I have no interest in them.

The Navy Gum 11 Lows? Meh I already had the Georgetowns. Pass.

The Varsity Red and White 11 Lows? Copped.

It all depends on the buyer...and the ones that have been posted in outlets in this thread? Yeah I could go to the Modells across the street from Barclays now and cop all of those at my leisure but I won't because I'm not really feeling them like that. And a lot of other sneakerheads aren't either.
