I spoke to @Barnett114 on Discord, he told me my thread was unpinned because apparently there’s too many stickied threads atm. But he assured he will re-sticky after some have been removed. Nobody I know participate in these "stats".. They're not all encompassing of the black community.. Especially if you're in a predominantly black community..

If you wanna know something interesting, though, it's that up until the '50s, black male-white female marriages was something like less than one percent, but black female-white male marriage was something like three or four percent. They were marrying white men in droves until the Civil Rights (the 'I want me a Becky') Movement. It evened out in '60s and now black male-white female is around three/four percent.

I know she's not a favorite. But this book goes into the narrative created via American literature to paint black males as the dimmer weaker side of the coin to white males.
