US Navy reported more banging sounds were heard this morning but unable to determine if the sounds are coming from the lost sub (wtf else would it be?)

Also, if it's really them down there banging, why not bang S.O.S. morse code? I feel like everyone knows that, and a captain of a submarine sure as hell SHOULD know it.

These people paid $250,000 to get inside this contraption to go 12,000 feet below sea level

You couldn't pay me $10 million to go on this

That CEO dude took his son on this

What an idiot

At least he should've told him no you're not coming the kid had his whole life ahead of him but he actually took him down there

People are fukkin stupid

From what I've read there's always lots of weird noises the further down you get, and the Titanic itself still makes noise since it's made of metal.

The sub was made mostly of carbon fiber and if you bang it, you would get a dull thunk, but I'm no expert. Just something I read online

"David Pogue, a CBS reporter who travelled in the Titan submersible last year, told the BBC about the issues that both the submersible crew and the land crew were likely to be experiencing, saying that there was currently "no way" to communicate with the vessel as neither GPS nor radio "work under water"."

GPS doesn't work underwater? :wtf: then how tf do scientists tag and track sharks/whales for months/years at a time? What kind of bogus rinkydink GPS where these MFers using for this sub?
Because whales surface for air and sharks migrate to shallow warm waters. Dont u watch the Animal channel? :dahell:

I don’t know much about physics, but I’m pretty sure that the force needed to pull that magnet up would have to be stronger to counteract the buoyancy and pressure 300 miles below sea level.

Plus you’d need a 370 mile long cable that is strong and stable enough to not snap as well as a huge fukking magnet. I doubt they have shyt like that just lying around.

That shyt is literally impossible, hell you could probably get every ship in the US naval fleet attached to it, pulling at full throttle, and it still wouldn’t be strong enough to pull it out
Damn I’m stupid :mjlol:

It’s 2.4 miles not 370 :russ:

Still incredibly unrealistic tho

- The oxygen supply on board the Titan submersible is estimated to run out at 7:08 a.m. ET

- OceanGate executives were warned about the risks of the voyage and ignored calls to increase safety

- US Coast Guard confirms that "banging" noise heard on Wednesday identified did not come from the Titan

- Experts have warned of the near impossibility of rescuing the sub

It’s over…I wonder if they ever find what’s left of this thing.
