So I have never read comic books...but now I'm getting interested. I have heard before that comics can be good reading. Based on the movies and the cartoons, I know the X-Men series probably focus on social issues.

Just curious...what are the best comic books that focus on these topics:

Scientific Advancement/New Technologies
Ancient History/Ancient Mysteries
Finance or money in some way (like financial crimes or one world currency)

I'm still upset at the shytty artist they got for this book. They couldn't get a real artist for this powerful story?!?

Kyle Baker can be an acquired taste for some but the brotha is far from shytty.
Now, it most certainly can be argued that perhaps he wasn't the best choice to convey the look needed for this particular story but it wasn't a deal breaker for me.
I remember him doing the Plastic Man comic 10 years ago and me not being a big fan of his lazy cartoony approach but alot of readers ate it up.
