That applies to the state officially recognizing the church, it's because historically the church is either in power or second to those in power and with great influence over the power. It doesn't pertain to churches speaking politically, what pertains to that is tax code, if anything what you are getting at actually violates the 1st amendment.

we must get everyone to vote, young and old
regardless if we are considerably less than 25% of the population
regardless if we have a large amount of voting age people locked up or ineligible to vote anyways
then we must trust the crooks in the political realm to do what you know what they are not going to do anyways
at the top, the donkey and the elephant are the same guy, have the same beliefs, the same children enrolled in the same schools, belong to the same country clubs, wives go to the same places, they have been educated by the same system, have the same vested interest in keeping and preserving their way of life
but the good church don't say much of that
"being relegious dont mean you can't think, a truly relegious person is an enlightened thinker...."
