Kids these days don't have these classic tv shows.. they growing up on social media.. instagram, twitter, snapchat, etc :scust:
Only people who don't watch modern cartoons he the gall to say this.
I think back to a lot of the old cartoons we watched and so much of it was nonsensical gross out stuff and repetitive plots.
shyt like Gumball (an incredibly smart show), Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Wander over Yonder, and more, are cartoons as good as they ever were.
But then again you wouldn't know that.

I think this is a record for me to give out the most daps of any thread on here. I'm sitting up here at work and just going thru this thread really hit me. I remember watching 90% of these shows growing up. I'm showing my age but "You Can't Do That On Television" was just one of the G.O.A.T.'s. "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" had one of the G.O.A.T. Theme songs. Man, I could go on for hours just talking about all the different shows. I know "Taina", who didn't have a crush on her!!!! Where I was from, I didn't see girls that looked like that. I knew they existed because you always see fine girls when you go out of town. But man, she had a young man going. "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" was another G.O.A.T. show. "My Brother & Me". "Roundhouse", "Are You Afraid of The Dark", "Salute Your Shorts", I mean, the list goes on and on and on. I honestly say that there is nothing on TV like what we had growing up. "Double Dare", "Guts", "Nick Arcade". It was like a Kid Show Renaissance. And I know I"m leaving some shows out, but man y'all got me over here like :wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas:

Let it all out breh.:mjcry:
We lived through the golden era of cartoons. Disney, Nick, Cartoon Network, WB, PBS.
My God, what a time to be alive.

I'm 29, born in 87, so I was growing up RIGHT at the height of the Nickelodeon dominance of the 90's. It was such an important part of my development growing up, I'm truly grateful to have been alive during that time. All the piff being dropped in this thread....:ohlawd:

Am I the only loved that loved Space Cases?

Like fukk you are!

The brother? That's Walter Emanuel Jones AKA The Original Black Ranger! The girl with the rainbow hair? Jewel Staite (Kaylee from Firefly/Serenity).

Space Cases was a brilliant show. Basically Star Trek for kids. Jones AKA Harlan Band was the lead (And this show ran during Star Trek DS9's run, so basically, two sci-fi shows promoting Black Excellence at the same time....:ohlawd:). In fact, I still remember some of the promotion for this show, and being hyped that the homie Zack got the gig....:obama:

I was SO BITTER when they cancelled it, on a cliff-hanger no less....:sadcam:

But then again you wouldn't know that.

All three networks fell off(although cartoon network is doing better than recent years).

Kids these days definitely don't have the variety that we had growing up.

For every gumball I can name you 3 or 4 shows that's just as good if not better than that.:yeshrug:

Regular show is the only one that gets a cosign.:dame:
