name a movie that you would rate 8-10/10
There was some awfuk dialouge, when you have a character as over he top, and potentially goofy as Batman, you have to have good dialog, Bale, as Batman had some really bad lines, and so did a handful of others. Just obvious, cliche, whatever, bad lines. I did the Wayne face palm a handful of times. But, still it was a good movie, for what it was, I'd give it B-/C+. The best scenes were so good, amazing, but all the bullshyt dragged it down for me. Clunky plot, awkward story devices, didn't like the final Bane/Batman/Gotham resolution, what is it Westside Story or some shyt? Talia was a good twist, but felt empty.
I was actually writing a blog piece on the movie being trash. Here's some excerpts
Felt more like they made a movie for that "the cape" TV show.
besides the character names nothing about the movie said "this is a Batman movie" dude didn't even contemplate suiting up until like a hour into the movie. Batman in broad daylight was just stupid looking too. They story was pretty stupid too. How did bane know where the R&D lab was? Catwoman sets Batman up he nearly gets killed, heals up,teleports to Gotham, smilies all in her face like it never happened. The stock exchange is attacked, during the attack, Bruce Wayne who isn't present there bankrupts himself from the stock exchange,SEC upholds all the trades from a stock exchange that was being held hostage. The best part though? BRUCE WAYNE DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO TRY AND RECTIFY THIS. He just keeps rolling on some "you win some, you lose some" shyt. You telling me "Batman" didn't realize bane bankrupting him illegally was the first part of a grand scheme that he could've stopped by fighting the illegal trades? Its like he wanted to see banes whole plan like the audience.
Anyone who knows what bane was before this movie knows they didn't do him any justice besides his dialogue. Nolan fukked him up worst than he did ras' al ghul, but it didn't matter that bane was weak because "Batman" was too. He didn't look like a master martial artists or detective. He looked like the dude from the cape. A confused white guy in a costume. Don't even get me started on the nuke and the 6 mile minute and the importance of kissing cat woman before getting the nuke out the city or "the voice" coming back after being unanimously hated
you can't completely hate on this though because in the earlier parts of the movie when batman was just starting to deal with bane, the whole idea was that bruce was out of practice and very very very shortsighted. you even have that scene where he's playing back the robbery tapes and alfred's talking about how much stronger bane appears, or how he fights with a different attitude than bruce and bruce is just shoving it off thinking that he's a match in the state he's already in. thinking that because they both went through the league of shadows and bruce brought down that group, bruce is superior to someone who was a "reject" in his mind...
