I dont understand some of you brehs sometimes. I'm assuming your black(for conversation purposes). I dont get why ya'll use hustler as some type of negative word when it comes to people black community.

Like who give af if he wants to sell boots. He's trying to make money in a capitalistic society. That's what he's suppose to do, make money. Especially when his money is from black people, he doesn't have to compromise his message because other races can't effect the way he makes a living.

And this is why Black preachers be having private jets and their followers be pushing a 2003 Honda Accord.

My problem with Tariq is more issue with style. He doesn't know how to construct an argument well and seems to lack any deftness when debating others outside of his own zone that he controls.

Yeah white supremacy exists but simply reciting the words "white supremacy" doesn't do enough to combat critics and leave them without a good response. This was my big problem watching him on these interviews. He needs to learn how to construct arguments in a way that it sufficiently outlines the narrative he is trying to tell. This includes more diverse use of issues in America, and not just the running dry well of say Eric garner and Trayvon martin. Not that they aren't important but st the same time I wish he was more political minded in also highlighting some of the inequalities that exist for blacks in society and especially statistics that these dudes can't properly defend such as differences in arrest rates for the same crimes.

Finally sometimes he just says stupid shyt such as his no voting campaign.

Doesn't matter what platform he uses. He says he's a hustler, I didn't make that up.

Like someone said earlier, just imagine one of the great leaders of the past selling timbos:francis:

Not true at all. Plenty of people go on fox and make them look just as dumb as they are. Tariq is used to being in the spot where Tuker was. Being able to dictate the convo and talk over his guest. It's clear he is not good on the other side of that.

Blah blah.....white supremacy, blah blah white supremacist :mjlol:

Nice try..
All the 'great' leaders sold something. Whether it was 'hope', or 'image' they sold something.

And yes, White supremacy by its very nature is anti Black. I imagine you find that hard to believe as well. You have a problem with Black people that dont cow tow to your whiteness, you want Black people to serve and not think for themselves huh.

If youre white why are Black independent minded folks a threat to you. Youre concerned about a small minority.

He's not just selling boots. He selling an idea with boots attached.

These nikkas do not seem to understand that the whole "Black empowerment" and "Group Economics" shyt is like the prosperity gospel for "Pro-Black" race hustlers...

That's why nikkas like Polight be having private equity companies and shyt that Black folks invest and don't even get a return...

Such an apt comparison.

Same reason i can't support a religion hustler, I won't support a "black struggle" hustler:francis:

I thought about race hustling and religion hustling...

shyt is too easy...

You really don't gotta do anything, the cult mentality does everything for you...

Say a bunch of buzzwords, find some free obscure information, present it as something new, create a prosecutor (the devil, White supremacy), create an Us vs. Them mentality, create a platform to serve as an echo chamber...

You can make a lot of money...

It's only bad in the context of someone who is supposedly helping the community. There's nothing wrong with being a hustler.

When your hustle is peoples pain confusion and emotions, I can't support that:

He's not just selling boots. He selling an idea with boots attached.

So what.

I don't understand this obsession with motives. We should care about his actions. Hidden Colors was a constructive action for the Black Community. This upcoming documentary on Hati if anything like Hidden Colors would constrictive action for the black community. Him introducing a new audience to other black scholars is constructive action.

Now him selling boots, glasses, books, or whatever tf are neutral. Those don't hurt anyone in the black community by supporting them. If anything their buying black consumer products from someone who is actively supporting the black community.

If black preachers where giving something tangible back in exchange for the offerings I'd have no problem them flying in a private jet.

It creates a conflict of interest. And distrust for me personally. If you are cool with it fine.

But like I said it's a great comparison to a Preacher making money of his poor hurting congregation.

Not a good look IMO. But you don't have to agree:manny:

u can apply these traits to virtually anything u don't want to support and say that people are hustling.

It creates a mentality that to be righteous and knowledgeable one must be struggling and broke. I see this argument presented in every avenue across the internet. Some folks just have a poverty consciousness.. I see it online on various blogs like for example there's folks that have no problem with someone providing hundreds of articles for free but the minute said person decides to create a product and sell it it's a problem that they're selling stuff.

Like the person shouldn't respect their time and sell something. I've had folks tell me i should hook them up just because. Like my time and work isn't worth anything because we both black. it's that "hook me up" mentality. It's disgusting.

If the information is valuable who cares. Especially if that info helps people learn about other scholars who can give deeper knowledge.

Well yes and no.

I think it's generally a good thing that he did. But I think his motivations weren't very pure. And honestly the info entailed wasn't anything new, and some of it wasn't even true.

So on one hand I'm glad people want to be enlightened, on the other hand I don't like the fact that people had to pay money to get the info that should be free, and then be fed false info.

It creates a legion of "woke" dudes who have a very limited understanding of the subject at hand, so they go on social media talking about "white supremacy" and "group economics" to criticize other black people without having a full understanding of the concepts in the context of history and current events.

So you are a socialist?
